“Never thought you would be doing such interesting things with your skills, did you?” Alec Chandler chuckled as he slowly petted the woman that was on the bed with him. A couple hours ago she was screaming at him and trying to claw her way out of the shipping container that Alec had brought her into the United States in. Now, she was a willing pet for Alec.
All because of Paul Wolfe.
“This wasn’t the first thing I had in mind when I started my research,” Paul admitted as he turned his head and saw his own woman beside him. Alec had given him first choice and Paul had picked a woman that reminded him a lot of Madeline. She had been staring at him coldly as he entered the container and Paul just had to break her of that behavior, much like he had tried to do with Madeline.
“Should have been,” Alec laughed as he laid back and tweaked at his woman’s chest. “Do you know how much we can make with this?”
“I thought you were just doing this for a few,” Paul spoke and Alec laughed happily. “Why not more? The man I know would pay for top dollar for this kind of happiness.”
Paul had no ethics, but he swallowed hard right now. “It doesn’t always work perfectly.”
“That’s because you played with those two women… we create them… and we ship them out,” Alec declared as he pulled the bra off of his selected woman. “After we break them in, you know?”
“I thought you were just looking to protect your business… that first one…” Paul commented as he shifted on the couch and rolled his head to the side. He knew that things were going to get back at Wolfe Institute and he just wanted to be gone of the damn place. At some point in his life it meant something, but that had faded a long time ago.
Alec nodded his head. “She is probably being shipped back to China or someone else in Asia… no one will ever know that she really is from the States… You did a good job,” Alec gloated as he thought about the woman that Paul took care of first.
Paul heard his cell phone buzz and he looked over to see that it was a text message. He almost didn’t care, but then he grabbed it as Alec shook his head. It was clear that Alec thought that he should just leave everything that Paul had in his life and just embrace the world of crime that Alec was opening up for him.
It was very tempting because the ethics that Paul often found difficult to deal with didn’t matter. He could experiment and maybe find ways to make things better for those to forget the things that could hurt them emotionally forever. It was something that Paul wished that he had the courage to do to himself some day, to forget the pain that he felt when he thought that Roberta had his daughter and hurt her. He also needed to know if he would find a way to take away the pain of finding out that she wasn’t his daughter. That betrayal would never die inside of Paul and it was the thing that drove him more than any other single thing.
In ways, all women were like Roberta Wirth.
Paul looked at the text and dropped the phone. “I won’t have Wolfe Institute to go back too…”
“Oh?” Alec questioned as he clearly wasn’t surprised. Paul counted to five and sighed. He didn’t care of Alec knew that this was about to happen. There had always been that thought in his mind that if Michael Samuelle ever got better that he would do something like that. He didn’t blame Michael for doing what he had ordered MJS to do. “If other people think that they can run it better… so be it.”
“You have plenty of work to do… or plenty of fun to participate in… whichever way you feel like thinking about it,” Alec looked around the room and he stood up. “However, I don’t like the cold… I think we should head south for a while.”
Paul tilted his head to the side. “How far south?”
“Dip into the Caribbean… come back to Miami… lots of options down there,” Alec winked and Paul nodded his head.
He liked the idea of getting far away.
