Take it slow, Dr. Jurgen spoke as he noticed that Nikita was starting to wake up. His voice was enough to bring Michaels to an awaken state. He lifted his head and looked right at Nikita. He reached out for Nikitas face and she rolled her head away. Michael, its confusing enough for her.
Kita, Michael spoke and Nikita looked towards him and then away. Dr. Jurgen walked out to the hallway and Michael leaned towards Nikita. We are all here you had us so scared.
Nikita stared at Michael but she looked to be still in a haze. Michael stroked her face. Mick had said that she might have no idea of what had happened. Michael wasnt sure if that was something that he wanted to happen. It would probably be for the best, but it wasnt what Michael wanted to have happen. He wanted Nikita to remember so they could start to address all of the questions that Michael had and now others had.
Nikita did not speak and she licked her lips. Michael rubbed her cheek and she seemed to tolerate what Michael was doing to her right now. Dr. Jurgen walked back in with a glass of water and moved to the other side of the bed. You were given a lot of medication it probably made your mouth extremely dry
Dr. Jurgen assisted Nikita in sitting up and allowed her to sip the water. Her stomach growled and Dr. Jurgen nodded his head as he placed the glass down on the nightstand that was not far from where he stood. They are making you some toast and poached eggs. Youve been asleep for over twelve hours.
Nikita had to be starving and Dr. Jurgen was sure that it was not helping Nikita right now. She continued to stare at him and she seemed to understand what had happened to her. Dr. Jurgen looked at Michael and sighed. You should let me and Mick talk to Nikita alone for a while.
Im not leaving her, Michael declared and Dr. Jurgen sighed. One day with this group was worse than a double-shift in the ER. Im due back at the hospital shortly, Michael. Just a few minutes.
The door opened and Mick was there and Michael looked at him. He trusted Mick and stood up, knowing that it would only be for a short period of time. Michael paused long enough to lean over to press a kiss against Nikitas hairline. She watched him leave and Mick entered. What do you remember, Nikita?
She did not speak. She looked at Mick and then rolled her head slightly to the side. Mick sighed. Do you remember having a really bad nightmare?
With a drop of her head, Mick waited for words, but they did not occur. He glanced over at Dr. Jurgen and shrugged his shoulders with the universal sign that Mick didnt know why Nikita was not talking. Let me see if that food is ready for you, Dr. Jurgen suggested as he couldnt figure it out either. At least Nikita should have some questions about what happened.
You had really bad sleep terrors, Nikita and from what I heard so bad that they probably werent made up by your mind but only you know what you were dreaming of, Mick informed Nikita after the door was closed again. Nikita looked and Mick and then wrenched her head away from him. You are safe here, Nikita. Nothing will shock us and we just want to help you.
Mick walked from side to side as he just wanted Nikita to talk. She didnt look back towards him and Mick sat on the edge of the bed. We did give you medicine they did that because I wasnt around but we all have a lot of questions and we want to help you.
Staying silent, Nikita kept her head down so she did not have to look at Mick. She moved her body and winced with pain, a physical side-effect from the thrashing around that she had done. Her knee was swollen and there would probably be significant setback in physical rehabilitation, but that wasnt Micks worry right now. He was sure that he had been listening too much to Michaels wild theories, but he couldnt be sure that Michael wasnt wrong.
Dr. Jurgen returned with the tray and Nikita picked up the fork and started to eat. Mick stood up and walked towards the door. Ill be here, Popsicle whenever you want to talk Ill be here.
Suddenly left alone with Nikita, Dr. Jurgen sat down and rubbed his head. He should have gotten more rest while he was here, but he hadnt. The whole house seemed to be throbbing since Nikitas sleep terrors had began. Dr. Jurgen was happy that he didnt have to sedate more of them, but it still wasnt a comfortable setting to be at.
Dr. Jurgen took a break until Nikita pushed her fork away and seemed to shrink down some in the bed. Are you feeling ok?
Nikita did not respond but something did not feel right. Dr. Jurgen hoped that he was just not looking forward to work, but something told him that it wasnt right to be going to the hospital right now. Moving swiftly, he made a call to inform the hospital that he could not come in unless it was a dire emergency. He dropped the cell phone down and looked at Nikita as she was shifting about in an indication that something was bothering her. Nikita? Is something wrong?
Nikita pushed at the blankets as her body heaved up. Dr. Jurgen wasnt sure if it was because she ate too quickly or if her mind was thinking about the dreams that she had had, but it didnt matter. He made sure that Nikita did not fall out of the bed as she threw up the small contents that she had eaten.
It is probably the medicine we should have waited, Dr. Jurgen comforted Nikita as he did not want her to feel bad for this. He did not need anything more to happen to her. He stayed there as Nikita was still shifting around, but he thought that it was over.
But it was far from being completely over.
