First let me say, I do not have a list of the girls names that competed. I can only go by what I thought was the pronunciation given by the MC. If any names are mispelled, please for us!!!

Baby Miss Jakayla Baus
Wee Miss Molly Gilmore
Tiny Miss Jaycee Hartsell
Little Miss Alexandria Johnson
Junior Miss Katelyn Heaton
Young Miss Alexandra Splawn
Teen Miss Kristin Swing
Ms Erin Garrett
Cover Girl Mattie May

Mini Supreme Lexia Honeycutt
Overall Supreme Tori Gross

Great Pageant! There were 19 Beautiful & talented young ladies. The stage looked great, every child left with an adorable bear and the crowns, trophies, and banners were very pretty. Shane Little & Lora Smith really put on a professional well organized pageant! Hats off to these ladies for all their hard work and planning.

Thank you Princess of North Carolina State Queens for entertaining and helping out. Overall PONC Victoria, Young Miss Elizabeth, and Mini Supreme Kaloni.

Also thanks to all who bought raffle tickets. All the proceeds benefit Victory Junction.

Again, congratulations to each of the winners, we wish you the best of luck at the Princess of North Carolina State Pageant.

Tacky! Just apologize for starting late and get on with it! Congrats to all the winners. Beautiful girls!

Second, they had never had a pageant at this school before and did not know which rooms the school was going to give them to use! 3rd, YOU go direct a pageant and see how hard it is and when it runs perfectly smooth and on time, then come back, and throw stones! Your just mad because your didn't didn't win and I think they already know who you are, because you were the only one griping while walking out the door! You are eventually going to run out of pageant systems to do if you keep this attitude up every time you dd doesn't win! Great Job ladies!

I heard that they had a lot of last minute entries, and couldn't help that interview ran a little later! Yes, we did have to walk down a short hallway to get to h/m, but I didn't mind! It wasn't on the other side of the school! You have to make room for people to make mistakes, your not perfect either!

[> [> [> Subject: LOTS of pageants start late, but NOT all of them have directors that come on stage and tell parents to "be nice to each other, the judges, and the directors" when the parents have every right to be upset. If I'm ready ON TIME and I have to wait an hour, I have the right to be upset that my hair is falling and my makeup is wearing off and my dress is getting wrinkled. Just tacky of the directors to make that announcement. Maybe they'll be more professional next time since this was their first pageant.

DO NOT bring it on the board and make yourself seem like an a**, especially when you showed your backside at the pageant and everyone then KNOWS who you are and that you act like an IDIOT!! Take a step back breath and realize it is just a pageant.....NOT LIFE OR DEATH....it is called putting things in prospective!!

My guests were shocked and surprised at the seeming lack of organization from a 'professional'. Did anyone consider asking the school BEFORE Saturday which rooms they were going to allow the girls to use? OR requesting that things be closer together? Besides that, some of the judges comments were hurtful and not at all 'constructive'. So yes, I was upset.... sue me.

It is hard enough to get into this and then to have hurtful things said about my daughter, who I think is beautiful without all teh hair and make-up was very upsetting. And I realize that the older girls needed to interview, but then the interviews should have started at 9:00- you ALWAYS over estimate how long things will take....

And of course, we all think our children are beautiful w/o all the stuff, but this is a pageant, and we have to be competitive. If your dress/hairstyle and photo always score well, then let it roll off. If you have not scored well in the past, then maybe its time for a chnage. I would rather have a judge tell me what needs to be done rather tahn say"good job" and pat me on the head so we CAN improve. But maybe that's me

I can assure you that these judges did not say anything ugly about your child, I KNOW that these judges were instructed to only give positive comments and things that might help you the next time you compete! Its called constructive critisizm! As far as the Directors, you don't even know them! They are the sweetest girls, and my dd didn't win! I took her comment as a joke! I took it that she knew that most of us were sleep deprived from getting ready for the pageant!

The thing to do is look at the scores from all the judges, if they all agree on something then maybe you take their suggestion. PONC is semi-glitz so you should have done your homework on that before you signed up. They have alot of natural pageants out there, maybe you should try one of them. Almost all pageants are late, I have learned when you have little ones bring stuff for them to do. That way they will not be moving around too much and messing up their h/m.

I think your anger is way over done. Part of the problem on this bard is that everything is posted as anonomyous so we don't know who poasted what. Great pageant with great contestants, directors and staff were very helpful even for their first time out. Directors comments seemed to be just an ice breaker or filling in time while contestants were getting ready, nothing to take so wrong. If you are upset like this every time you do a pageant and lose maybe you and your DD should try (or stick with) YMCA cheerleading were you can always be a WINNER!!!

So no one should be 'put down' because they feel a different way than you do. All the girls were beautiful. And had tehre been different judges, the outcome may have been different. But we have what we have. And please remember that it isn't always the person who 'loses' that is unhappy with the pageant. So everyone talkes about being 'sour grapes because your dd did not win'. This is not always the case. Sometimes it is a problem with registration or location or other things beyond our control. So please don't judge anyone for their reaction to this (or any other) situation.

[> [> Subject: I can not believe how some of the parents act at and after a pageant. I have seen PM openly roll their eyes at other children, babies at that. I always see parents talk about other children and their parents . I have seen the sweetest parents go evil when their dd does not win. Then they get on the board and bash, bash ,bash. Bad pageant, bad director. bad judges ect.... Yes some pageants are crappy but when you are the ONLY parent bashing you look like a SORE LOSER. The worst of it is that you were not even in the pageant. Your child was and most likley they could care less if they lost . Every child is beautiful and if you can not accept someone elses opinion of your child then you should not be doing this. My dd wins and loses, I do not bash other children or systems. My dd does this because she loves to and not because I want her to. My son plays sports and is horrible at them but he still plays becuase he loves to play.Whatever makes them happy, not me.

Wow are you serious. First and for most i would like to give my hats off to Lora and Shane for giving themselves up in order to put together an AWESOME 1st pageant. If those of you that have so many mean things to say about what didn't go right and time management then maybe you should've offered your expertise in pageantry. Then on top of all of this these ladies lost precious time from the families, life, and work for the better good of the ladies that competed in the pageant. Get past yourself as an adult because like i said these women did a GREAT JOB. Thank you Shane and Lora and keep up the GREAT PAGEANT SYSTEM. We will compete for many years to come.

O by the way my name is michelle, and I absolutely love Lora and Shane. Both women were absolutely amazing. I am sadden that such a beautiful occasion would drive some adults to bash something that i believe in my heart was a joyous community event. Especially to go low enough to turn around the words of the directors. Yeah it did start off behind schedule but my God it wasn't like we were electing the next president of the United States. Overall i think the kids had a fun time and at the end of the day that's the only thing that matters. Not us adults and our cruel opinions but the laughs and smiles from the children. O and for us mothers on here bashing one to another we should really be ashamed because you obviously have children, and need to be a GOOD example at all times because they are watching.

The Princess of Cabarrus County was a good pageant and I just wanted to share my feelings about how some of the parents were acting their child's age by being rude and disrespectful. Next time take some lessons from your child or children because they acted a lot better and older than some of the mothers
