Ryan has also said on the Mr. Cigar Radio Show that he's an alcoholic. Like how he used to put booze into a baby bottle during train trips so that he could keep drinking and not get thrown off.

Maybe there's some truth to both, but I've never heard of him being either alcoholic or diabetic to the point where he's needed extra treatment or suffered negative consequences (hospitalization, 12-step programs, insulin shots, etc.).
