For those of you familiar with the show, a bunch of guys & sometimes gals sit around smoking, drinking, & talking. People interrupt & talk over each other. Comments are made & then never followed up on at times.

Matt Allen is 'Mr. Cigar'. His brother Marty came with him, & two other regulars on his show from Encino. Ryan's neighbor Dave was there. He lives farther down the lake & performs at R's comedy club "Upfront".

The setting was R's bar which is a replica of Matt's in Encino. It is attached to R's 9 car garage. The way it sounded was that you could see all his cars in their ports from the bar.

Roughly in the order it was talked about:

R commented that when the radio equipment was being set up for broadcast, it looked like a Lenny & Squiggy production.

Matt (and I don't know who else, it was never mentioned) was staying in the guest cabin on R's property. He asked R's son to help him set up the DVD player in the cabin, but he didn't know how, so someone else's son helped him.

The night before, they had a poker game in the bar.

Ryan commented that it was 68 degrees at the time of the broadcast, which was more to his liking, compared to the sweltering temps in LA.

Matt said several times how beautiful R's property was. The bar/garage was about 100 yards from the lake, & he said it was like a 'compound'. They talked about the lake & R said he's never been in it. He goes on a boat or on the dock, but never actually in it. He has a small boat that he attached a tube to & pulls the kids around the lake in it. R said he would pull Matt or anyone else in it. He can get it so that the tube is airborne! They also have two 'waverunners'.

Matt brought Cuban cigars with him. R was worried about that & didn't want the sheriff to know. Supposedly, a sheriff was there on the property & his car was parked nearby during the broadcast.

R's wife Pat was going to cook up a salmon Bar-B-Q for everyone after the show. Matt said she was a good sport to be putting up with everything. Pat was under the impression that everyone was leaving on Sunday, but they're staying until Monday. R said he would have to talk with her about it...

In the course of the conversation, R said that Tuesday July 26th is his wedding anniversary. Matt asked how many years & I didn't hear the answer because other people were talking. (I read somewhere that he married in 1989, but they've been together longer than that).

Matt commented that R's daughter was fishing a lot while he was there. She was using Lucky Charms as bait that day. (In the past, I've heard R say she uses cheese curls too for bait).

R also has another boat docked at the marina in town. Matt said it was a 56 ft slip. R took some of them on a cruise to the San Juan islands the other day.

One of R's dogs was with them during the broadcast. It was a black German Shepard named Otto. He was bred by a police woman. Otto likes to hang around the bar & sneaks in every chance he gets when the door is left open.

R said he would start one of his cars & if someone in the listening audience could identify it, the car would be theirs. (Yeah right!) Matt said an email could be sent to his website with the answer. R actually did start one of the cars. It wouldn't start right away & you could hear him in the background shouting "Start, start! you bastard".

Matt & his brother grew up in the Seattle area. When their plane landed early in SeaTac coming up to Bellingham, they decided to drive by the house they grew up in. They also stopped at a bar & restaurant there because nothing was served on the plane. Evidently, they didn't notify R when they would be arriving at his house. R said: "I sat around all day not being able to go anywhere with the kids because we were waiting for you to come. A phone call would have been nice".(Mock frustrating tone).

In the course of the show, R mentioned that he was safe from a sunami where he lived. It would have to be 400 ft high to get over the mountains to his place. He's lived in Bellingham for 13 yrs. he said.

R's wife Pat worked in production in some way at one time, for Sam Kinison the late comedien. She walked up to the bar toward the end of the show. Matt told her to get on mike, but she didn't. You could hear her talking in the background.

The radio broadcast ended at the 3 hr mark, but he kept on-line for at least another hour. Somewhere in that 4th hour I logged out. I was getting tired (it was around 10:30 here on the east coast). They were waiting for Pat to call them to supper & that's when the show was going to end. If anyone else listened to the show, let us know how & when it ended.

If anyone else has details I didn't mention here or can elaborate on what I've said, please do that!

R said he will be in Encino for the Mr Cigar show on Aug 6th.
