You really think so? The snails were in this shell type thing. Is that how they come when a person orders them in French restaurants? Both the snails and frog legs seemed real to me. I've never eaten either.

I ate snails (escargot) one time. They are served in the shells, but they're cooked and kinda shriveled into a ball, as I remember. I don't THINK snails are served raw. (But after watching 'The Amazing Race' where they ate raw LIVE baby octopi, somebody somewhere probably eats raw snails.) It would have been easy enough for the prop guy on WL to buy the empty shells (which anyone can find) and stuff them with a pseudo-snail. Maybe a piece of raw pastry dough or a gummy candy. I dunno.

As far as the frog legs go, I've never tried them, but I've seen them served, and they are NOT green like the ones on the show. Again, they could have been anything. Maybe Marzipan, which can make ME gag. I think there was also some kind of "bone" inside.

I think Ryan is just very good at making us believe that the stuff he's eating is absolutely disgusting. He plays it up for laughs. I mean, we all cringed when he mixed whipped cream and spaghetti sauce, but those are things everybody eats, just not combined.
