Subject: Jan 10th, 2003. First WL episode of the New Year...

I think I shall be brief. Yes, I will. I promise.

Did you notice - The intros of WL were the credits of AFV? Geeez!
Did you notice - Greg seemed to be wearing his "Africa episode" suit but with the cool glasses? The tie may have been different; I'm not sure.

Hollywood Director - Not...outstandingly great, but the show seemed to be off to a good start. That whole Wayne straddling Greg or Greg straddling Way - I don't care what was going on, I just don't want it to pop into my dreams, is all I'm saying. Well, I'm sure SOMEONE enjoyed that, IYKWIM.

Newsflash - Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I want to be able to watch this again on tape! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Song Styles - Hmm. This may have been the highlight of the show. This morning, Wayne showed a few seconds of it on his show; I think he should promote it whenever possible. I liked this one, and I don't even know why. Oh, I know! He made fun of Jerry when he was sitting in front of him. And the Wayne/Ryan banter..."I said 'ass' and 'ho!'" "I think Jerry was shocked!" Most memorable line of the episode. :)

Daytime Talk Show - Whatever you do, don't compare Jerry to Greg or Brad! Just don't! We already know the answer to that! Instead, think of it this way - with Jerry as the talk show host in the game, we get to see Greg in the audience. Yes...yes, that's putting a positive spin on the situation. He was more of a prop than an improviser, you see. He was as important to the game as the weirdos in the Newsflash scene. I wanted to like this more than I did. Colin's joke about "goodies" was so close to...well, you know. Did you notice that this took up the entire second segment? Oh, on a side note, I bet that the "rubbing head" thing was a reference to something at the show that wasn't aired?

Three-Headed Broadway Star: When Daytime Talk Show was about to start, I got a funny feeling in my stomach. When I realized Jerry would play this game, the feeling grew. Well, I don't mind Jerry Springer the person as much as I mind the show. That is, I've seen him on television other than on TJSS, he seems clever and nice in an indescribable way. I just didn't know how he'd play this. But...I liked it. I liked him playing it better than I liked Whoopi Goldberg playing it. Ow, stop throwing chairs at me...for that comment.

Credits: We've seen this before? Twice? Ah, I can't keep track.

Overall: Hey, it's better than college football!

I tried to make it brief...well, tried being the key word.

My Final Thought: If you expect an episode of your favorite show to be the worst episode ever in the history of that show, don't be surprised if you don't like it. Maybe with a better attitude towards a tv show, you can appreciate. The same can be said for life in general. As a wise man once said, turn your frown upside and your buttcrack sideways. This has been my final thought. Good night.
