Subject: I don't know where on earth you got that I wanted to start classes. Not once did I ever say that. I was TRYING to see if I could help people!

My intention was to see if we could offer exams at a Feis. So that children (and adults) who weren't keen on competing would have something.

I am not a TCRG just a parent who has one daughter who loves to compete and one who doesn't but loves to dance. Sure I could (and probably will now) just organise exams for our school but I thought it could be something good for our region.

Yes, I understand that some schools already offer them. So this message doesn't apply to you.

I don't agree with you about being in Open and having danced all the Ceili dances that you need. Many, many schools don't teach figures unless they have to. I don't know of many dancers who own a copy of An Rince Foirne. For the exam you need to know the terminology of the book.

I'm sorry if there was some confusion. But nowhere did the word classes ever appear in my posts.
