Subject: Loose skin

All right the verdict is in and I've decided NOT to have the tummy tuck done after all. I have been contemplating this for a while due to the lose skin that I've had since losing weight, but after a lot of research I've found that skin that appears loose does so due to an additional amount of "loose fat" under it. I've been reading books and articles and have asked quite a few specialist about this and the truth is that your skin does and will start to shrink once you have lost enough weight. It may not be the original skin you were born with, but it should also not sag once all the pockets of fat are lost. I've learned that we can carry up to 25 lbs of fat under that "loose skin" and when we see the diet through and lose those last little bits, the skin should start going back to a tighter state. These are also the hardest bits of body fat to lose. Exercise will help, especially if you start filling those flabby areas with lean body tissue. It's still a good idea to get a good idea to get a good body cream (I'm working on the research for that one too) and to moisturize yourself after a shower. So now I'm going to push myself to get the last bits off and use the $8000 that the surgery would have cost me and go on a great vacation as my reward when I'm through. Anyone want to join me in Hawaii??
