Subject: Shara - Loose skin
In reply to: Shara 's message, "Loose skin" on 16:12:11 08/06/02 Tue

I too have lost about 100 lbs and have loose skin [tummy, thighs, upper arms and breast :( ]. I also have been doing research on tightening the skin instead of surgery which I would do only as a last resort. I have found the same information as you... that you must loose the fat layer under the skin for the skin to continue to shrink down. Can you post some of your sources from the net? I'd love to read what you've found. I will still need a breast lift (no question there but - the tummy area has tightened some) and I will wait and see about the tummy area. I may still need a slight tightening but the results will be better if I wait and give it time. I was overweight all my life and know I need to give my body time to adjust but I'm impatient to get on with my life as a thin person.
