Subject: Unresponsible Nigerians

I am confused with this new behaviour in nigerian man. Do you remember during our parents days when you got a girl pregnat men felt obliged to marru the woman? How things have changed. My poor sister unfortuantely became pregant by a worthless Ijebu yoruba guy who promised her the world including the fact that he was going to marry her, how he loved her etc. When they found out she was pregnant she wanted to have a termination but he refused saying that he wanted to them to keep the child. Now four months later he has walked out on her saying he does not wnt to be committed. My poor sister does not know what to do as it is too late to have a termination. This I think is sheer wickedness and surely a person like this should be punished. My sister has really tried for this guy. He has not held down a job for nearly four years and she has supported him during this period. On top of that he has two other children out of wedlock with another Nogerian woman! Na Wah! I can only blame her because she should have seen the signs but this man has really played with her mind. I am just writing this post to say to you guys - when you are doing the jiggy, jiggy and enjoying yourself remember there are consequences to our actions. We can not act like Jamaicans and have children every where without being accountable. This kind of behaviour is unafrican and mostly un-nigerian. It is a shame. Na my sister wey I dey feel for. xx Belema
