KeKe,

I had the same problem when I was your age and my mother said the exact same thing and so did other adults who are into the "full of body" look. My hair was down to my shoulders, course and thick. Oh my gosh, I couldn't stand it! What I did and have been doing for 7 years now is I keep it cut *getting it cut like once a month helps soften your hair because the nutrients can go throughout all of your hair instead of just trying to repair your dead ends* Haven't you noticed how much softer your hair is after you get it cut? Yeah, that is why. I thin my hair as well. Thinning is a good way to make your hair not look as bushy. And yes, I know they say thinning it will just make it grow back thicker but that is not true. You just think that when it starts to grow back. I also use Dove shampoo and Conditioner which really helps it. If you can't afford to do that any shampoos and conditioners will help. I also bought my a hair straightener which has became my life! Then after I straighten it I put a little dab of Bio Silk *you can get it at salons* on my hands rub it in and put it throughout to smoothe my hair and keep the frizzies down...DON'T USE TO MUCH THOUGH OR YOUR HAIR WILL LOOK OILY. Try not to put many chemicals on your hair because this will fry it and straightening isn't good for you hair either so try a heat kinda shampoo.
