Due to reasons beyon our control and due to an insufficient number of contestants we have decided to combine the Duplin County, Sampson County pageants and instead hold our Princess of Eastern Carolina pageant in their place. This pageant will be directed by Morgan Jacobs the director for our Duplin County pageant and be held at Kenan Auditorium in Kenansville, NC. This will allow the current contestants the opportunity to compete and qualify for State all for $125! We have a revised application available and I will post it tonight on the website. Date Posted: 04/17/07 3:18:32pm I would like to say that if any of our PONC families have any family members or friends at Virgina Tech our hearts and prayers go out to you. This is such a sad event that has happened to these people there. Parents will never see their children again, husbands and wives will not see each other again because of one disturbed person. This is what happens when people are hateful and vindictive(sp) to others. You never know what words you say will hurt someone and what the outcome may be one day. Let's all use this to teach our children and ourselves that YES words do hurt and cause people to do unthinkable things when pushed to their limits. Some people in this world are not nice and things don't always go the way that we think that they should. That is no reason to be hateful to one another. I would like to let all these families know that my family is praying for them in their time of loss. Take care and God bless you all. This may get removed but that is ok also. Date Posted: 04/10/07 3:04:54pm OK!!!!!! I did talk to Minnie Horton. There are the study rooms with the pull out sofa beds at Hampton. The sister hotel next door, Holiday Inn Express, has 34 rooms with double beds. Call Minnie @ 919-778-1900 and tell her what kind of room you prefer. She will handle the bookings at both hotels (they are side by side) both are nice. AGAIN, Talk Only To Minnie!!! Say you are with the Princess of NC Pageant.
