Subject: Ok - several large researches and checks later reveal that there is NO SUCH THING as a dolorian or dollorian or dolorean dagger... so... so there! BTW, who published the book mentioned as it intrigues me?
In reply to: Karrang 's message, "OOC: So sue me for using a 'cliche' speech. That's my only fault, while I admit I did write 'he leapt forward'. I, in the end, reposted though. Look-in IC assassinations, the frustration and anger is NOT meant to transferr OOCly." on 16:16:04 10/26/03 Sun

>>This whole fiasco has really frustrated me, so I've
>>asked some people at Terrouge for their comments and
>>advice. This is what one member has written.
>>
>>---------------------
>>
>>Whew...I hate these kinds of things. It's hard to
>>read, but this is what I noticed, or interpreted:
>>
>>-Loner has way too much armor...I'm surprised he can
>>walk.
>>----This is probably godmoding at the best.
>>
>>-Suzaku is godmoding - his blade should have caught on
>>the scabbard of Loner's blade because there's no way
>>Loner could be running around with a bare blade
>>strapped to his back.
>>----Yeah...just plain godmoding.
>>
>>-Karrang's speech "Die with honor bit" isn't presuming
>>that Loner is dead...it's melodrama at the most.
>>----Cliche speech. Ugh.
>>
>>-Suzaku did not specify that he was using Dolorian
>>daggers when he first attacked.
>>----For being so concerned with technicalities, Suzaku
>>is quite a hypocrite. He accuses Loner later of having
>>the wrong breastplate (addressed below), when he
>>himself does not specify his own weapon. He just says
>>dagger. Now, I wandered around the website and I
>>couldn't find a character listing that would
>>specifically say that Suzaku had Dolorian daggers (or
>>even the defintion of what a Dolorian dagger was), so
>>Loner is quite right to challenge this new addition,
>>unless they have roleplayed frequently and Loner knows
>>what kinds of weapons Suzaku has. Similarly, even the
>>best dagger, when thrown, will not pierce metal armor
>>(see below).
>>
>>-Some breastplates do have metal backings. Others have
>>string ties to hold them onto the body. And since the
>>person didn't specify, it could really be one or the
>>other.
>>----Suzaku says "we follow the celtic one"...is this a
>>forum wide rule or just something he made up? I
>>couldn't find anywhere on the website where it says
>>"we follow the celtic one". Therefore, it's both
>>Loner's and Suzaku's fault - Loner's for not making it
>>clear from the beginning, and Suzaku's for assuming
>>presumptiously.
>>
>>So, final analysis:
>>
>>You've got two godmoding characters crying because
>>neither one of them can roleplay well.
>>
>>
>>My advise...I'd just advise everyone to move ahead and
>>not to dwell on the issues, but I would also point out
>>that it was just a mess caused by bad roleplaying.
>>Suggest that people think about their posts before
>>they write and if they don't know...just ask for
>>clarification.
