Subject: Nostalgia and embedded midis

I was driving today and a song comes on the radio. And I feel some cobwebbed cogs in my head start turning--What is this song? I know I haven't heard it before, at least not this cover. And then I realize--I had heard it before, as an embedded midi. Years ago.

I get home and boot up the Wayback Machine. I eventually find Kimmeree's Anichat: http://web.archive.org/web/20030420143719/http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Dimension/7580/anichat.html

Arrgh, but none of the old midis are working, and Star Port seems to be gone altogether. Still, I'm getting a nostalgia high.

Determined, I dig out an ancient harddrive, plug it in and start searching. I find it. A little file, titled "Kimmeree," filled with midis. I click on sad.mid, and I'm suddenly transported back in time.

Here's a .zip of the files: http://rapidshare.com/files/158881715/Kimmeree.zip.html

I listened to the rest of them, hit up google, and found this place. Decided to share.
