    Gah...I feel soooo stupid. I come home from shopping all afternoon with a friend and find out that my Mama's been looking for me since 6 pm, and it is then 9....Why? Well, I called home to tell them I'd be out and the phone was busy. I meant to call again and...well....I forgot. So Mama was calling all the people she could think of(including half of the town, my girlfriend and her father(who is probably gonna disown me and tell her to stop dating me) and my best friend(who has a heart condition and could have DIED) and her boss (who's like family))....Noticibly when I came home I was quite surprised that she only hugged me and said "You're okay" before telling me all that had transpired that afternoon. The only reason she wasn't out looking for me anymore was that my neighber (a schoolmate) found out I hadn't called home and told her where I was...

    Strangely, I'm not in trouble. *blinks at everything* Mama said that she knew it was something stupid and she blames my ADD... My Larry-Daddy said it was okay since I'm all guilty now (and kicking the mental shit out of myself thank you very much) and didn't mean any harm. I've decided I have the coolest parents ever.

    And to practice:

    Today was brutal. You might never see me type that again but today was brutal. I didn't eat as much lunch as I would have liked and that set me up to be sick later on. I threw up three times during practice and kept going. The coach would have told me to if I thought it wasn't too serious. (i didn't think it was, i just needed something in my stomach) I felt like shit. After I threw up I got to wrestle these two light weights (who were pretty strong for their weight) and kicked the crap out of them not escaping without some new scratches and bruises, though. Later, I got with this other guy. This other guy is malicious. He elbowed me in the face and then kneed me in the nose. >.< Almost broke it, too. There was blood and I started to panick because I don't like to bleed from my face. I feel like I've been hit by a car. >.< But hey, misery loves company and I'm going to make their wrestling lives painful and miserable. ^_^ It's more fun that way.

    No Name: I know that fear is a stupid reason... And if it was just a fear of going to Hell, I would still be an atheist and the only thing I'd regret about being an atheist would be being a hypocrite for teaching a Sunday school. But my Dad.... You see, he went to a Catholic private school, and when you go to his parents' house, you can count over fifty religious objects, including statues, crosses, doves, etc... And my Mom tells me that when me or my little sister are bad, he calls her a bad mother, yells at her, and does other things... It sounds like a scare tactic, I know, but I know that he hits her, she once showed me a mark and I've heard them fight... So the thing is, if he found out I was an atheist... And if I stood my ground... He will blame her. I am very sure of it, because she grew up in a Baptist family and changed to the Catholic faith in order to get married to him. So... That's part of why I'm Christian again.

    KADUNA, Nigeria — Muslims and Christians armed with daggers and machetes rioted in two Nigerian cities Friday, burning cars and attacking bystanders in a third day of violence over the Miss World pageant.

    About 100 people have been killed and 500 seriously injured, Red Cross officials said Friday.

    Sporadic gunshots rang out in the northern city of Kaduna, where most of the fighting has taken place. Christians retaliated Friday after enraged Muslim mobs in previous days stabbed and set fire to bystanders they believed were Christian, and set fire to at least four churches.

    The rioting spread Friday 225 miles southwest to the capital, Abuja, where the beauty pageant is still planned to take place Dec. 7. Muslim protesters armed with sticks, machetes and daggers burned cars and attacked pedestrians outside the city's plush international hotels after gathering outside the central mosque following afternoon prayers.

    Rioters pulled a local journalist off a motorcycle and told him he would be killed unless he could recite verses from Islam's holy book, the Quran. The crowd released him unharmed when they realized he was Muslim.

    Miss World publicist Stella Din said the contestants were safe inside their Abuja hotel, not far from where the riots took place. None of them witnessed any of the violence, she added.

    The violence began Wednesday, when the Kaduna office of ThisDay newspaper was torched after the paper published an article questioning Muslim objections to the pageant. The article, published Saturday, suggested the prophet Muhammad would have chosen a wife among the contestants.

    The newspaper ran a brief front-page apology Monday and a longer retraction Thursday.

    On Friday, plumes of black smoke rose above Kaduna, a tense, religiously mixed city of several million people. Authorities extended a round-the-clock curfew — although many ignored the order.

    Young Muslim men shouting "Allahu Akhbar," or "God is great," ignited makeshift barricades of tires and garbage. Others chanted, "Down with beauty" and "Miss World is sin."

    In neighborhoods dominated by minority Christians, witnesses said youths smashed windows and set fires in mosques used by the ethnic Hausa and Fulani Muslims who dominate Kaduna.

    Fearful residents sought protection at police stations and military bases.

    "The soldiers have been very helpful, giving us bandages and first aid. Everyone is here — Muslims, Christians and pagan. We are all afraid of going home," said Habiba Ibrahim, who spent the night in the city's defense academy near the government clinic where she works. "Only God knows when this will end."

    Previous riots in Kaduna, a predominantly Muslim city with a sizable Christian minority, have escalated into religious battles that killed hundreds since civilian government replaced military rule in 1999.

    Islamist groups have warned for months that they would protest the pageant, prompting organizers to postpone the finale until after the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

    Muslim groups say the pageant promotes promiscuity and indecency.

    In the article that prompted the spasm of violence in Kaduna, ThisDay writer Isioma Daniel said, "What would Muhammad think? In all honesty, he would probably have chosen a wife from among them."

    Security forces patrolled other major cities Friday, including the northern trading hub of Kano, where Muslim women peacefully protested.

    "We are calling on the government to stop Miss World, this show of shame. For women to expose herself to men other than their husbands is forbidden," said one of the protesters, Hadiza Usman.

    Miss World organizers insist contestants have respected conservative Muslim values by dressing conservatively.

    "We regret these incidents, but his is not the fault of Miss World. It is the result of irresponsible journalism," Din, the spokeswoman, said. "The show definitely will go on."

    The pageant also caused controversy elsewhere; at least five contestants are boycotting it to protest judgments in Nigeria's Islamic courts that condemned several women to death by stoning for getting pregnant while unmarried.

    Contestants from Costa Rica, Denmark, Switzerland, South Africa and Panama stayed away.

    Nigeria's government insists none of the judgments will be carried out, although it has refused to intervene directly with the Islamic court system.

    Yep...still bored. Just been reading the posts...thought I'd express my opinion on religion.

    First of all, I'm a Christian. Protestant Lutheran. And I go to church of my own accord (no parental urging is necessary, I just go, sometimes on days when my mom and step-dad don't.)

    Second, I'm not a "shove it in your face" kind of Christian. I identify with some things that atheists say. I don't like people who come around shoving religion in peoples' faces either. I especially dis-like it when those Jehova's (not sure how to spell it) witnesses come shoving papers and things in my face. I'm sure that's how atheists feel when Christians try to recruit them. I don't like people who go around shouting "Atheism is the only truth!! There is no God!" either. It's just like the Christians trying to recruit atheists. I just say live and let live. If one doesn't bother the other, then everything would be just fine. If no one disses Christianity, or atheism, then nothing hostile will be said, and arguments and possibly worse would be avoided.

    So, in the end, I say that niether should bother the other, or say anything about the others' choices. It's their life to lose or gain, to do with as they please. Just let them make their own choices and believe what they want to (That's for all religions and non-religions, whichever be the case). Let bygones be bygones and leave each other to their own beliefs. So much pain, suffering, and war would be averted.

  • The average wrestling tounament lasts 10 hours. (And always lock your bedroom door when you leave) -- Psych, 18:48:47 11/24/02 Sun
    Our tournament lasted for 13 1/2 hours and i was there for 14 1/2. I had fun. Never seen so many jr high school boys in the same room in my life. o.O I had to be timer and reff-hitter. It was interesting seeing all the different styles and techniques the little ones used, jesus they're good.
    Heh, some of the lighter weight class kids ended up hitting on me around 5. Two from Nampa, five or six from lowel scott, and some other maroon kid. yech...I was talking to one of me team mates rather huridly and one of the lowel scott kids asked if they could hit me with the towel gently. I turned and said "sure kid" and started talking to me team mate again. He hit my butt. And then he hit me again a little harder. I immedately turn on him, yanked him out of my chair, set him on the ground and then fell on top of him.

    Me: You wanna do that again?
    Kid: *with much difficulty and weazing* NO! O.O
    Me: if i let you up will you and your buddies leave me alone?
    Kid: yeah! just...Get off me please!

    That's the only time i like being taller and heavier than people. Later a kid on maroon challenged me to a match. I grinned at him and said sure. He was way below my weight class and shorter that me. I let him shoot on my and when he did i bent over, picked him up, sent him on the ground and then folded him like an envalope. ^_^

    Kid: jesus! You just flipped me over! how long have you been wrestling?
    Me: this is my second year.
    Kid: Oh. this is my first.

    Every break we had i wrestled with the other girl on the team, Kayla. This is her fourth year. o.O i only win against her because she's below my weight class. It's good exercise though. ^_^

    Coach West our head coach was a little worried about me when i was there. I have this horrid cold that's eating away at me and i was there for 14 1/2 hours. He didn't want me there the entire time, just and hour or so to help out but i told him that we were short handed and that i was going to stay. He gave me that warm father-like smile and told me to take easy at practise when we start on monday. Yeah, season starts this monday and it's going to be hella fun. ^_^

    The reason: My parents decided to redecorate my bed while i was at the tournament. That pissed me off so badly. It looks like a lumberjack bed with a really ugly plaid design. I usually like plaid but this looks like someone threw up in it. >.< The sheets and blanket are made out of that really soft cotton/fleece stuff that i really, really hate. It feels like paper. And they threw away my other blankets and took away my pillows. I could seriously cause a major accident that would result in their death. >:( So remember: LOCK YOUR DOOR>

And now I believe again, because 1) I'm scared of what my dad would do if he found out and also of what God would do and 2) it seems hypocritical to teach a sunday school if you're an atheist... So I believe again... It's been like that for a while, actually, at least for a couple of months... And I was doing such a good job, until I had this dream... Um, so this is the point of my post.

    "Shark" is the middle-age man I originally claimed "she" was. "Wanda", of course, was introduced by means of the "artificial syncroncity" I accidentally paved the way for. She has been created to strengthen the certitude of the duplicity and has been retained solely for convenience of anticipated social pretext (or so I presume).

    After this discovery, I was curious as to whether any other denizens on this message board are also frauds. I picked ten random names and proceeded to debunk solecisms I had encountered when juxtaposing the style of the post with the self-described identity. Verbose, shocking expose follows.

    The following psuedonyms were researched:

  • Jessica O'Brien - Reptillian impersonator.

    "Jessica O'Brien" (who also uses the aliases, "Super Orange"/SO, "stickyjunk", "knottedgibberish", etc) is a myriad fabrication of a malicious Reptillian invader not indigenous to this solar system! Not only is she patently alien, but she is devoid of the traditional spectrum of emotion that we observe in a highly civilized society. She is without remorse and empathy, thus she may flippantly track you down and maim you on a whim if you happen to disconcert her in any way (there is a precedent for this!) Extreme caution encouraged.

  • Damien/Machine - Angry dyke.

    "Damien" or "Machine" originally used the name "Alexis Machine" in 1998. Alexis Shirley is a widowed lesbian who lives alone in a Long Island suburb. In 1997, she planned to produce an Animorph novel for her newphew as a birthday gift.     When attempting to trace "I Am Mortal"'s surname, absolutely no results emerged! (This rarely happens - maybe 0.2/10 attempts) I also noticed the subtle varying in IP subnet. I called his current ISP, talked to a few system administrators, and have discovered that "I Am Mortal" is actually the product of a doctor with a Ph.D in Artificial Intelligence! "I Am Mortal"/Tobias/RedUnevano/etc was loosed upon the web four years ago and insinuated himself into this community where "he" posts ostensibly intelligent and circumspect comments.

    Who says AI is impossible? Dr. Sloman of Birmingham University clearly knew better.

    One thing that always annoys me is how people think that Texas is just a bunch of cattle ranches populated by cowboys. IT ISN'T. I live in Texas. I don't know how to ride a horse. It's been years since I've touched one. I think I once rode a pony at a carnival when I was six, but I've never ridden a horse or pony since then.

    But...

    Arggghhhhh!! It's so wierd! Houston is the fourth largest city in the country and we still have horses and goats and chickens! I was at Wanda's house, so I didn't see it, but my Dad filmed a hen and her two chicks wandering around our front yard. And a couple of times, I saw a guy riding a horse... Lemme tell you, it's really annoying when they ride a horse in teh street. They're just so slow, and is it really safe for a horse to be on a road? In the middle of traffic? With broken glass and cars? It's really annoying. Those chickens were wierd, though...

    First off:

    Biology. Well, my biology teacher actually, Mrs. Jensen. She's a very intelligant, nice, caring person. She has 3 kids, a husband, lots of dogs and soon a house. She also sells realastate. o.O It's what she does in her spare time. Also in her spare time she likes to breed cocker spaniels for show. Since we're studying genetic traits and selective breeding she thought that her dogs were the best example of selevtive breeding and genetic traits that we could ever get out of the school. ALSO: She has a very odd background along with some very odd phenotype traits. She has black-as-a-raven hair, bright BLUE eyes, WHITE (and i mean white skin, and is short. She also has anemia and her traist are recessive when it comes to having kids. (her husband has blond hair, is tall and had blue eyes, the kids are the same) Well, that's that class.

    Weight Lifting:

    o.O Today was a free-lift day. That means we can do whatever we feel like doing as long as we're doing something. So I decided that i was going to do a little benching. So, i set the weight at 95; an easy work out. Chris Haynes comes up to me and says: "You wanna max today?" I said sure, it was a free day. So i bench 95 twice, okay, i can do that. he puts ten on one side and Nora does the same to the other. I bench that, okay, but it was a bit harder. (of course) he puts 2.5 more on and i do that. I get to 115 and kind of want to stop, that was my max as of last thursday. He says "Nah, i know you can do more." so he puts on 2.5 more on and so on until i reach 135. 135 is my new max as of today. O.O That's a lot for a girl, even for me. I can't really feel my pecs or biceps or forearm right now making it hard to type. ^_^ I'll be fine in a few days, meanwhile wrestling season is about to start. ^_^ it starts next monday.

    I talked to a friend of mine the other day that i haven't seen for two years. It was weird, she's changed so much, but not at all... or maybe it's that we've both changed. To quote my friend joey "the more things change the more they stay the same"... it seems so true. We used to be really close, like sisters or "best friends" or any other close relationship (friendship) that you care to compare it to... and then two years go by and we don't see each other... barely speak. We've both change in ways we never expected. I've grown far less serious than i was before, i've finally learned to just sit back and let life do what it's supposed to. She's grown more serious. Sure, she still messes around and jokes all the time, but she's got a maturity about her that was never there before. It's funny though... we've both changed, but things are just like they were before...

    Okay, i am planning on buying myself a gaming console, now the options are, the monopolizers X-Box, the traditional Game Cube, and the Play Station 2. Play station has good graphics and good games. Game cube is still very much locked into the world of PG with an occasional chracter who is not a cartoon. Plus the real only advancement is that they changed from a little box thing, to a cd, and then there is x-box, microsofts offspin of a console, but its really just a smaller and more limited computer. I was raised on Nintendo, i really was, so some games like Zelda are key, but all the good cool games i've played have been on playstation 2, but then theres this other thing... x-box who has many of the same games, and a few of its own, but its just there... and i don't know what to do with it, or how to assess it. any opinions...

  • Swim meet! -- Shark, 20:06:49 11/01/02 Fri
    Sorry I haven't been posting very often. It's just that I'm trying to limit my ranting to my diary... So anyway, I went to the swim meet. Man, I was nervous. Excited and nervous. You should've seen me when coach told me. I was so shocked, I felt like I'd been shot. Because I am very slow... But I got excited and danced in the car--I actually kicked the roof! But oh man, was I nervous. I was fidgeting like nuts at the meet, not really paying attention to the swimmers and then my turn came up... I was gonna be in a relay and swim 4 laps free style... I kept on thinking to myself, "Sharks don't slow down, sharks don't slow down!!" Though in the third lap, I slowed down. I tried my best... Everybody was all, "Good job, Shark!" The coach was very proud. ^_^

    I got a little sad when I heard a rumor that I got us disqualified... I cried in the lockerroom bathroom b/c I was so sad that I screwed everyone up. The thing about me is, I'm very expressive and emotional. It's not difficult to make me laugh so hard that I cry. This one of the reasons I wouldn't wanna be a shark... If I try to hold back a grin or tear, it feels really, really awful, like when you have to the bathroom really bad and you're the last person in a line of twenty people. Heh, people can tell exactly what's on my mind by looking at my face. So when I heard that... Oh man, was I frustrated and I just walked into a bathroom and sobbed.

    Turned out it was nothing... Because we were NOT disqualified. That girl had her story wrong! We WON the match... You see, BOTH of the judges have to agree on whether a team is kicked out or not. They disagreed, so we were in. Both the boys and girls team won by 50 points, so... We did good. We all did really good. Only bad part is, I feel sorry for the opposing team. I mean, we went to their school and beat them up at their own pool. Their coach must be mad... Poor guys. And the thing is, our pools are different... So now the coach has another reason to be mad. Poor guys. At least they one the freestyle relay I was in... It was wierd. I was in the slowest one, but our team seemed to be the slowest... Good for a beginner. :-D

    So many people have wondered in and out of here, so many, but it amazes me the power of this place, this tiny sanctuary from the rest of the world.     That asshole of a band teacher mr. sullivan did. Yeah, our band took a trip to pocatello to compete and he segregated all three of the busses guys and girls apart or suffer the wrath of a chaperone. Well, nothing happened, no making out, no sex, no violence, no drinking. Damn, where'd all the fun go? Shut behind the Chastity Gate. It was a very boring three hours there and back with nothing to do except any homewrok we may have brought along with some CD players. WE SUCKED ASS. We may have gotten the trophy for the highest scoring IDAHO band in our group but that's only because we were THE ONLY IDAHO band in our group. Other than that, we finished sixth out of seven. We sucked that badly but it wasn't our fault. sullivan made us start about one to two months later than we should have so it's his dissapointment, not ours.

    Anyways. You know how sometimes when you ride the bus to school and you just can't stay awake and you either fall on the window or the person next to you? That happened to me this morning. I fell asleep first on the window, then found myself almost druling on the guy sitting next to me. I was so embarassed! He didn't seem to mind, and i had no idea what to say. "sorry?" would have been my first words if the other kids weren't babling madly to each other about how hot Dana is. After school i thanked him for being my pillow and that i'd never do it again. (he is this huge muscley kid that could kick my ass if he wanted to but doesn't have the attitude for it most of the time) O.O he said no problem and then told me about his family and how his dad is SO HYPER and calls Cober(Justin, the guy i fell asleep on) a smartass. And his sister is a whore and so on. o.O Strange boy...

    There has only been one time where I've lost my temper and yelled at someone and wanted to kill them on the spot and that was last night. I am usually very good at keeping my cool in any situation but, when it comes to my friends which are my family, expect the worse things you can imagine from me.

    So i was at the football game with Alic and Sab because i had to march and Alic wanted to give me and Sab our b-day presents. When we went down to march They noticed some blankets that the flutes had, just sitting there. It was damn cold so they got them, sat down where they were before and waited for us to get done. Their thoughts were "if they want them they will come" and oh did they come. The flute player, Casi, was really mad at them. She caught me in the bathroom and said she wanted to talk to me. (she's been a complete bitch to me ever since i started school)I thought she was going to bash my marching style and to my surprise she said "you know your friends? the ones you were talking to? THEY STOLE OUR BLANKETS AND RAN OFF WITH THEM" i quickly described Alic and Sab to make sure it was them and it was. The first thing that cam to me was RAN OFF WITH THEM. My heart sank so i found them as quickly as possible so they wouldn' get Casi's wrath without me there. They told me that yes: they did take them. It was damn cold and no one was using them. They were going to give it back but i guess Casi took it from them. Casi then got our band instuctor to talk to us. "If i find anything missing from our band, any money, wallets, anything, you will be in BIG TROUBLE." He made me mad. I went back to my section because we were going to play and Casi turns around to me and says: "Did your friends tell you that they stole our blankets and turned them inside out so we wouldn't notice? They have lice!"
    At that moment i snapped. I looked at her will wild, angry violent eyes and shouted in her face: "SHUT IT BITCH FACE!" she smiled and started laughing and high fived her fellow flute players very happy that she pissed me off. I was about to get up and make her a very bloody piece of edible art when Sara (my upper classman clarinet player) put a hand on my shoulder. "Breathe" she said and i remembered my calming exercises. ^_^ after i was done i got up and left the band to be with Alic and Sab. I almost quit the band on the spot and our director would have another hole in his dream performance. with the season being so close to ending i decided to only stay mad and be deathly quite around Mr. Sullivan and Casi. neither of them look at me or speak to me anymore for any reason.

    I was 13ish when I stumbled over this place...13 and a lost cause. I remember getting lost in here because the world was too much...and here...here I could be free of aliment, binds, and responsibility. I could be whatever and whoever I chose simply because my face had no relevance...only my style...only my written voice.
    Jaror is what I'd like to call a hypochondriac. He always has been...if memory serves...he has used the brain tumor thing in the past. Feel sorry for the kid folks, don't comdemn him. He's always been hurting in some way that annoyed most people. Most likely, the cause is something simple...he's not the center of his world and he isn't happy with it.     On another note: Aren't parents supposed to act like parents? The night of the football game where i get to march during half time my parents are in Meridian. They were kicked out for that. >:) That sould teach them. The older they get the weirder they get too. I hope i turn out that way. ~_^

    Jaror's lying, 100 percent completly and absolutly. First of all, he's out of the hospital way too quick for tumor surgery, let alone brain surgery. He was back the next day from his so-called operation, and anyone with half a fucking brain knows thta a hospital wouldn't let you leave that quickly for any form of surgery, let alone a tumor in the brain (I wonder how the fuck they found that one, they had such a small target to work with). You could tell from the start he was full of shit; He was milking this nonsense like it was a fucking soap opera. Nobody has a 60% fatal operation on the brain and comes home the next goddamn day. Second, anyone with any medical knowledge knows he doens't know what the fuck he's talking about; he claims to have a 6 inch incision, which is medically impossible. People who have his surgery receive a 2 inch crescent shaped incision, not a six inch gash. His story is complete bullshit; he wasn't ever sick at all, and anyone stupid enough to buy into it needs some brain surgery themselves. And I'm surprised I'm the only person here who bothered to say this stuff when I know a whole bunch of people who agree with me.
    Jaror, you're full of shit, you've never been sick, you didn't have a tumor, and I hope you get your leg mauled in some fashion for being such a cock.

    I really don't know what to say I appreciate it so much I really do. I am sitting here on thursday night counting down to 10:00AM friday morning where life will either be made or broken for me I encourage you to IM me Jaror 6 as I really could use people to talk to this is very frightening for me and I will admit with my pride aside I have never been so afraid in my life and it's not the fear of death it's the fear of what if my belief system (bhuddism) is not sanctioned in whatever afterlife their may be. I was married earlier today and I hope one day you can all be there for the ceremonial one as it would be a great honor to be among such fine people. Also if anyone wishes to call (I do not have long distance my wife turned it off for excessive calls to family in italy *grin*) you may call me at 253-473-2331 but I will be on all night so it would be better to IM me first as 10-1 odds dictate that I will not answer.     I think about it, we're all family. We come from so many different places, different backgrounds, different beliefs, but we all have one thing in common: We are all drawn back to here again and again.
    Whether you're enemies in an RPG or have a fight over anything really, we're all part of this big family, uniquely bound together. If something good happens, we tell eachother, and if something goes wrong, this is the first place we come.
    Which is why I'm here.
    An old friend imed me today.. Someone we all know but haven't seen in awhile until just recently...He may not be your favorite person but he's close to all of our hearts. And we may lose him very soon.
    I really don't know how to get around to saying this.. it's shocking to say the least. The sort of thing you never expect to happen to you, or someone you know. It's almost as if facing reality is worse than your imagination.
    He couldn't find the strength within himself to write this, I barely could...
    I guess there's no way.. to really explain it.. We can't cover it up with pretty words... I guess I can use a quote from him..
    "I went to the doctor today and they found a brain tumor. I go in for surgery next friday. Too many possible outcomes to list"
    He said he needed to talk to me.. for it may be the last chance he gets..
    I don't.. really know what else to put here. I just want you all to keep him in your thoughts. If your religious, pray. If you're not, think of him and hope he gets well.
    Bottom line is, this is a family whether we all get along or not. And we care for eachother.. And we're here for eachother no matter how small or big the problem.

    My useless things: yes, many things in science/math/lit/etc can and/or will be helpful, BUT 90% of the things taught (at least where I live) WILL NEVER be used throughout life.

    History is probably my favorite subject. I love history. I think history repeats itself though is because people know history and they follow it because it worked for a while
    Languages at my school suck: Spanish, Latin, and French. None of the languages that'll ever/care to use. I want to learn Japanese/Chinese/Korean/German.
    I'm going outta order and in no sense but yes, I Love literature. i don't like grammar. grammar should be taught in one year: what to do and what not to do. its all you ever need to know about grammar, really and you should know. Learning about all the unecesary things has actually made me a worse writer.
    About the "Shark" thing: LOL I can't believe people actually call you that:P No offense, but it's pretty funny. Revealing any of your name is your choice and I don't, and no one should care.     Well, I went to homecoming with Alic. You all know she's a she and so on. I introduced her to several people all through the night so she could have some friends there. ^_^ The next day in weight lifting there was an interesting conversation:
    Jeff: So, did you get any from your date?
    Me: No.
    Jeff: Oh. Are you...uh...
    Me: No. I'm bi. She's my friend from out of town, she has a boyfriend and so do I.
    Jeff: Oh. Okay.
    Me: Did you get any from your date?
    Jeff: NO.
    Me: Tought so.

    And that was one guy. Chris was more interested in telling us about his date after Jeff asked him a question:

    Jeff: So, how did her tonsiles taste?
    Chris: Like french toast. So I take her out to dinner, right? Well, breakfast, we ate at Denny's. And I ordered this huge lumberjack breakfast while she got the smallest thing they had. Three pieces of french toast. I finish about the same time she did. And at the dance, we were, like, eating eachother. Making out, doing the tongue dance while dancing.

    I'm just standing there, waiting to go to the activity room and he just happens to include me in this conversation:

    Chris:*while putting waits on the squat bar* So, was that girl...
    Me: Patty.
    Chris: Yeah, was she your date?
    Me: Yeah.
    Chris: Is there something I should know about you?
    Me: I'm bi.
    Chris: Well, was she a lesbian?
    Me: No. She has a boyfriend.
    Chris: Oh.

    And then I miss the activity room and Mr. Gough gets a little stern with me...eh, it was worth it. ^_^ I get an amusing story instead of jumping on and off of blocks. It was interesting to say the least because two of the people that are in my class didn't say a word to me other than "Was she your date?" I'm not worried about it, though. They should know better the way my cousin always hugs me.

    To I am Mortal: LOL at the video game joke. I shouldn't have to explain to you why grammar and math are important. Reading can be fun, and if you're smart enough, you can appreciate literature just as easily as a video game. Learning a foreign language can be helpful, even if you never travel to any of the countries that speak this language. It's kind of like World Geography; it helps you learn about other cultures and opens your mind. History can be a dull subject sometimes, but it often inspires ideas for stories... And you know, history repeats itself, so we better learn to recognize it. Sometimes I don't really like school all that much either, but if I'm going to forced to go, I might as I well make the best of it. BTW, I am not going to become a teacher. What would I teach? Nah, I'm gonna become a cartoonist or a writer. About the "Shark" thing, some of my friends in art class call me "Shark," all though most people, my best friend included, use my real name. When I posted that message, I decided to replace my real name with Shark to avoid confusion.

    I find this very disturbing... Most of the people here are obviously very intelligent. And yes, before you protest, I am in honors classes. I am in honors Algebra, World Geography, and Advanced Art. I study English two years ahead of people in the "average" courses. So, yes, I am in honors classes. I know that at times, teachers assign frustrating and tedious homework assignments. And at times, it gets very stressful. Sometimes I have to tell my friends, "I have too much homework. Maybe tomorrow." Because the thing is, it will not matter twenty years from now what parties I went to, what jeans I wore, etc. But you knew that, right? When you apply for college, they will not care about your social life, unless you were best friends with the dean's daughter. But that's very unlikely, so all you really have are a) scholarships and b) grades. Millions of kids can be competing for a single scholarship, so I would go for grades. You say that you can make straight A's, but do you have the strength and intelligence to follow through? Please, for the sake of your future and my sanity, at least try!

    I don't make much of a poet, because, I always think with my head, never with my heart. That's what it's there for, after all! But poets are supposed to be all emotional an' such, so I'm screwed.

    I've re-aquired the bad habit of eating toothpaste. I had it kicked for 11 years! But...it's so minty..and when you chew it between your teeth, the texture is so gritty like nothing else it's soooo yummy.


    This is bad news for my body, as I already caused myself problems by ingesting too much flouride.



    On the other hand, it goes rather well with Ginger Ale.



    Hurray for Act II popcorn! One of the few brands that does not loudly declare "Made with real butter, the kind that comes from 'farms' where cows spend about 90% of their lives pent up in metal machines! Yaaay!" Sometimes it is frustrating to be a vegan. Ohwell ohwell. KETTLE CORN!YUM!

    My two friends cut my hair. Once again. I no longer bear a freakish resemblance to Kurt Cobain- now I look like a guy! Score! Androgyny, here I come!

    I expect that I will make all A's in all of my classes. *Whistles.* Yeah, it's only the first six weeks, but I'm still glad. I like A's. I sit next to my best friend in Advanced Art. :-) We can chat the whole period. Video games, art, comics, movies, anything. This web site about astrology said that the reason we work so well together is because we are so similar that we don't have to explain much to each other. My partner in English is a moron. "Hey, let me tell one more joke before we begin working!" Ah well. I might need his sense of humor in a paper some day. My partner in French I skips class almost everyday. Her logic is that French is too hard, so she must skip class. The teacher had a talk with her, urging her to work harder, and finally, frustrated, called her lazy. Which will make my partner skip class again. I worry about her, seriously. No, I'm not joking. She missed a major test. She doesn't understand much of the pronounciation and grammer. The girl will fail. Luckily, she is partners with one of the top students in her class. Algebra is evil. I sit next to one of my friends. Which reminds me, in the seventh grade, I showed her a picture of me, next to Colby Donaldson. The runner-up of Survivor 2. And she wanted a picture, "Because that man is fine!" I will get her one, right now. As soon as I finish my English homework. And in IPC (Science), I am the best student. I have a very good lab group--People who care about their grades, which is a good thing... But the problem is, there's this one girl who copies, constantly. She doesn't do her homework... And... Well, I can't let her get away with copying my homework. Don't get me wrong, I've been there before. All through out middle school, I had problems with subjects, and I remember one excruciating day when I had to do my homework the last few minutes before class began. The thing is, both of us will fail if the teacher catches us, and that girl will never learn responsibility or her science if I let her copy. If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. So I just sort of stammer, "Um... I'm sorry, but the teacher will be mad, and, um, maybe if you hurry, you can, like, finish it. I'm sorry." I'll help her with the questions, explain them to her, but copying... That I can't do. It's one of my more frustrating quirks.

    Friendly competitions, exciting sports events, even music—every one of these things is somehow connected to our high school’s homecoming week. This week gives students the opportunity to express themselves. Two modes we do this in include our “dress-up” themes followed by our lip-syncs. These events help students to express their unique spirits.
    Homecoming gives us the opportunity to study or observe—even join—our fellow students while they struggle to uncover their true school spirit. I’ve seen even the most stoic students become involved in homecoming events. They bring us together. Everyone is welcome to join homecoming competitions. They’re not open solely for the “preps”. You’re welcome be you punk, prep, nerd, or jock. Even the school employees get involved.
    Homecoming gives both students and instructors much needed excitement while still enforcing school policy. We’re still required to follow our routine schedules, going to our lessons on time relentlessly—there’s just a little more fun thrown in. The benefits of this go on throughout the school term; they’re frequently evident in our work. We focus more on homework forcing ourselves to become more efficient. En bloc, homecoming benefits everyone.

  • Swim Practice! -- Shark, 19:34:15 09/28/02 Sat
    Today's swim practice was weird. First of all, I ran a little late... You know how the drill for when you wake up late. Get dressed in a hurry, run your fingers through your hair. One of my medicines for my allergies had to be taken on a full stomach, but I just ate a muffin and took it. When my Mom drove up to the school, one minute late, a friend informed me that the swimmers were comming out to the track. We started off running laps, which was unusual. Even more unusual, we started off with six laps instead of our usual four. My stomach began to hurt in the fifth lap and I slowed down a little bit, but then I started going again. When I finished my sixth lap, I sat down and stretched out. Then Coach told us, "Get ready for another lap. This time, give it your all!" I think it was because some girls weren't even power walking during the first six walks, and one girl stopped at least once. Well, anyway, I started running as fast as I could for that seventh lap, and it felt great! I felt like I was flying... I wondered if this was what Sonic the Hedgehog felt like when he ran... Corny, but the point is, it felt really cool. Then I felt really bad, and started breathing really hard... This one girl looked at me, not annoyed, just that genuinely concerned "Are you okay?" type look. Then I kneeled on the ground and started to barf. I heard someone, probably Coach, shout "KEEP RUNNING!" and I got up and ran again. Thankfully, I only had about a dozen more yards left. All the kids were like, "Way to go, Shark." "Good job, Shark." Not sarcastically... If it was sarcastic, they hid it very well, and were pretty stupid to say it with the coach right there. Coach lent me his keys and let me wash my face. When I returned his keys, Coach told me he didn't want me to feel embarassed about barfing on the field; that other kids had done it before; it was something to be proud of, because it indicated that I was working hard. I felt a lot better, so I went inside and continued practice.

    I remember that when practice was over, my Mom was by the entrance. Her jaw had practically dropped to the floor. Coach must have been telling her what had happened. :-D

    I think last week, we were working on swimming an entire lap without breathing. I told my Dad about it, and told him that all though it hurt, I liked it. He likes to joke, and basically summarized the description with this phrase: "It hurt, but it hurt in a good way."

    Get this, this week is homecoming week. busy busy busy. Being "such a little joiner" really freaking bites. I'm anti-social, so i don't really care if you think i should join or not... but i joined in some things anyway, simply so that i wouldn't have to be at the house so much. I hate staying home. Class competitions... woo... why do people even try? it's rigged every year, don't they get it?! SENIORS ALWAYS WIN!! STOP COMPLAINING. bah, i hate the stupid people at my school.

    Another thing, this week, my english teacher decided to give us an assignment... an essay... about the benefits of homecoming to the school, student body, faculty, education as a whole... easy... or so i thought. Next rule that comes out of her mouth is this "you're not allowed to use the letter "a" anywhere in your essay" i'm like... um... .duh! that's HARD.... so yeah... not fun for me... not fun at all.

    Bah, i'm bored. I"m so freaking tired, lol. i think i'm going to bed. Smile big for me everyone!!!
