I too live not far from this area, although this wouldn't be as near to me as it would the poor folks in those nice houses on granite way, it will still bring lots of traffic and congestion to the area.
I have been one of those people queuing to get into Whetstone tip (as i used to live that side of town) and more recently regularly queue to get into the sileby tip so i have seen first hand how popular refuse/recycling centres get.
The amount of traffic that this centre would generate on a sunday and bank holiday when combined with the car boot would be absolutely umbearable. Not to mention all the car fumes from scores of cars sitting waiting with their car engines idling.
I was under the impression that with the new housing development on granite way and a possible new development on the land adjoining to budgens that the "North end" could be smartening up a bit.
I do not like this idea at all. Win Win, more like loose loose.
