I have had some information and as much as I would love to work for Mountsorrel in some capacity (paid or unpaid - I'm not bothered) I think I may be not allowed to apply due to rules (and I can understand the reason) stating I have to live within 3 miles of Mountsorrel boundary.The best parish councillor would be one that lives within the village.
If anyone else wishes to have a go ,then contact Mountsorrel parish council.
With regards to other councillors (Borough or County).It might not always sadly be possible to have one local,but given the choice of a local councillor that does nothing or a councillor outside of the area that works for the village - I know which one i would choose.
