Speaking personally I would vote Labour but then I stood as a Labour candidate at the Borough elections last time round and came third. The Tories have been in control at both Borough and County level for a long time and have managed nearly to lose £1m by placing it in an Icelandic bank (Charnwood Borough Council)and now allegedly try to buy off other candidates at County elections by promising a new village Hall (Cllr Rushton). They have removed Community facilities from local schools which was one of the best parts of the Leicestershire system. What about sheltered housing in Mountsorrel where residents have to share bathroom facilities. Is this the kind of care that the Tories think is acceptable in the 21st century?
