The street management team include the Street wardens who are responsible for parking tickets/traffic offences,they also issue such things as what are called Environment penalty notices(EPN's).These are given out for such offences as droping litter,dog fouling and fly tipping etc.
They have today told me they are aware of the problems in Mountsorrel but they have to rotate the wardens etc around several areas to make the best use of the limited resources available,they also have to catch any offence in the act etc before giving out any tickets.
The use of cctv in the park as been suggested but I'm told that this may not be used as evidence but only to alert the wardens.
With regards to other offences mentioned such as drinking,then this is a police matter.I have alerted our Licensing team to send out a letter to all premises that sell alchol,in order to avoid pointing to any one business.
