At present service 127 alternates between Shepshed & Old Ashby Road in Loughborough during the day, passing through the village ecery 10 minutes. In the evenings all servcies go through to Coalville.
On a Sunday they currently alternate between Old Ashby Road & Shepshed during the day, passing through the village every 30 minutes and go all the way to Coalville in the evnings.
All buses (whatever the destination) carry the number "127".
Under the new timetable (from 12th July 2009) there will be two distinct services passing through the village. Service 127 will continue to serve Anson Road in Shepshep while a new service, 126, will go all the way to Coalville. These will alternate so that we get a bus every 10 minutes.
During the main working day:
the 127 (to Shepshed) passes "The Green" at 12, 32 & 52 minutes past the hour
the 126 (to Coalville, via Shepshed) passes "The Green" at 02, 22 & 42 minutes past the hour
The return is at 05, 15, 25, 35, 45 & 55 minutes past the hour at "The Green"
The weekday evening sevice will carry the number 126 as it will continue to go to Coalville.
Saturdays are broadly the same as weekdays and continue to have slighly fewer off-peak services.
On a Sunday (& Bank Holidays) all buses will be the 126 and will alternate between Coalville & Pitsford Drive (in Loughborough) during the day and continue to serve Coalville in the evenings.
These will pass through the Green at :
07 mins past - to Loughborough - during the main part of the day
37 mins past - to Coalville - during the day and through the evening.
Sunday buses to leicester:
09 mins past - during the day
39 mins past - during the day and through the evening.
I hope this makes good sense !!!!
It is quite simple, really, we still get one bus every 10 minutes but half of them go all the way to Coalville.
Thank goodness we're not on some of the other routes they've changed... they are really complicated !!!
