 There were problems at the Play area on Boundary Road. Kids were creating serious problems with a resident of one of the adjacent houses. The play equipment was also vandalised. The PC decided to terminate the lease from Charnwood BC because of these problems and CBC decided to build a small number of houses on the site.
Turning old factory sites into more housing is a bigger problem as it reduces local employment and means we have to drive or get the bus to get to work. Charnwood planners don't think this is a problem and their solution is to create jobs on an estate near the Birstall A6/A46 junction.
