Listening to the news, we are short of housing and it will only get worse in the future. That is, it appears, a fact.

What worries me is the way that there doesn't appear to be any "planning" around where these sites for development are. Take the ones on Halstead road for instance. It may well be on the outskirts of the village but look at the roads that feed it, no way can we expect linkfield road to handle that sort of traffic, nor can swithland lane or woodlane. If your thinking Bond lane then your having a blumming laugh.
Add to that the traffic from West Cross Lane and its however many houses then we're all stuffed.

If we continue to build indiscriminately then we are going to end up in a REAL mess.

Stop building in areas that cannot take it.

There is plenty of land, closer to the A6 and A46 that can handle hundreds of houses but sadly the money to be made out of houses in those areas isn't as lucrative as what can be made from areas such as the ones I've mentioned above....

I may sound like I'm saying "its ok as long as its not on my door step" but I'm trying to find a practical way around what is becoming an impractical situation.
