Subject: Trib Radio

OK, so I've never listened to -- what's it called again? Trib Live Radio? Nevertheless, I just saw a commercial for it during the World Series and was curious:
Does anybody actually listen to it?
No, seriously, do they take calls and stuff? Or is it just several hours of stimulating conversation between Guy Junker (tolerable) and John Steigerwald (completely insufferable) every day?
Thanks in advance for your help, guys!

Hmm. The silence is deafening.

Maybe they should air some more TV commercials.

Sorry. I've never heard a minute of it and don't know anyone who has. That lineup of Fedko and Steigerwald doesn't make me want to find it. More wasted Trib money, just like KQV.

Perhaps someone finally realized Fedko's routine only plays on TV, and not well at that....

They take calls when they get them. They're not exactly flooded. The two things they promote most are a pro wrestling show and a weekly Fedko-Steigerwald showdown. That should give you an idea of what they're doing.

I've listened to the wrestling show a few times and its as many calls as they can fit in the 2 hours. Most of the calls are from outside Pittsburgh. The guy Justin who hosts it is a pretty big name in the wrestling coverage world.

Well, there's something to hang your hat on as you try to re-invent media -- appealing to the 12-year-olds who follow pro wrestling.

Well done, TTM!

Right, our industry should ignore 12-year-old's who like wrestling because there's no chance they will ever grow up and be consumers of news.

I loved "Paul Shannon's Adventure Time," but that doesn't make me watch Channel 4's godawful newscasts.
