Subject: Trib news judgment

On the front page of the Metro section, they had a story about the father of the slain police officer in Lower Burrell getting a condolence call from the father of the man who shot the officer. It turns out the fathers knew each other and had done business together in the past.

So why wasn't that story on page one of the Sunday paper?

It was much more relevant than the page one story about people who keep exotic animals. Bottom line from that one: It isn't a good idea to keep lions and tigers in your back yard. Yawn.

Somebody was asleep at the switch on this one.

How did that info get out? Sounds like the killer's family made sure everyone knew to clear their guilt.
