Is this really newsworthy, or at least worth such relatively in depth reporting, or is it just another case of too many reporters and editors living in Mt. Lebanon and staring at their navels?

I dunno, seems like a legit business story to me. Certainly more relevant than those pointless Diana Nelson Jones pieces on small rock gardens on the North Side. Why exactly are we outraged?

Personally, I got burned out on the Aldo's Coffee coverage.

Anyway, I like DNJ's pieces. Her beat is neighborhoods and it's all very local and featury. Somebody in town is always getting a hat tip and recognition for taking care of their little corner of Pittsburgh. I guess news about a small, Erie-based restaurant chain's building plans in Bethlehem, PA are of interest to some PG readers somewhere.
