Anybody else find this article to be bordering on editorial?

So? Nothing's at stake.
It's half-baked civic boosterism.
By the time the PG gets around to discovering something's hip, it isn't anymore.
Even for a staff of kids playing in the revolving door, there are too many old people in the room.

It's a softball feature, make a coupla calls; it's a marshmallow. Maybe an analysis bug, but it's fine without. If Pgh. gets called particularly hip or in, it is fine to plumb the depths of the meaning with some twinkle in the eye. But, predictably, it ended where it started: it depends on what you mean by in or hip. Best thing for the Block/Shribman corps: It filled up some space.
Doesn't mean a thing to me what they call Pgh. I'm here because I'm here whether it is hip, unhip or tuti fruity. Guys at the Post and such write those ranking stories to get attention and, well, fill up space.

I'd say it's bordering on embarrassing.

Settle down people! Not every story in the paper is about crime or the Stillers!
