I doubt many here have ever read much work from this "well-known blogger" (which is good, for everyone's sake) but I'm sure most have read DKoPS. Read a few of this blogger's posts and compare it to anything DKoPS has written and the voice, if not the true author, behind the post should be readily apparent.
It's another one of DKoPS' ploys to drum up support and further the narrative that the Tribune-Review is the big, bad bully.
There's a part of this that should make everyone pity this blogger because's he's being sacrificed to drum up support for DKoPS. If anyone was "bullying" anyone here, it's not the newspaper. But this blogger is content to enjoy his 15 minutes in the spotlight because he hasn't had a single second in it before. In the meantime, he's being used and doesn't understand that.
Once DKoPS finds another prism through which to cast negative light on the Tribune-Review and paint his "little operation" in godly hues, the blogger will once again become a non-entity. Despite whatever's tweeted/written/said, that Duquesne coverage DKoPS is NOT paying said blogger for (whose work no one should pay for to begin with) isn't crucial to the operation. In fact, aside from DKoPS, Josh Yohe and Jason Mackey, no one else on that staff produces content worth paying for. If anything, DKoPS should be commended for getting his "lunatics" to pay for that. Go up and down that staff. There's a reason these people didn't have legitimate jobs before.
By the way, anyone who perceives this blogger to have any professionalism or credibility as a journalist should take a look at his Facebook or Instagram accounts. He's a joke and a terrible journalist, which indicates there's no depth DKoPS won't sink to.
The most pressing, long-term issue is that DKoPS has nothing holding him or his employees to any sort of professional ethics, such that he's able to take this blogger who stole content from the Tribune-Review and many other writers (MEANING HE DID SOMETHING VERY WRONG) and spin it to curry favor/subscriptions while slinging mud at other media members.
The blogger admitted he included quotes in stories without attributing where they came from. It's one thing to not even report the stories on one's own, but the blogger also stole quotes. That's wrong. The Tribune-Review broke the Puerto Rico story and the blogger posted about it as if it was his. That's wrong. Yet this story has been turned around by DKoPS to make someone who did something wrong on multiple occasions, and knew exactly what he did, look like the hero while one of the many media members he stole content from is apparently the villain? Come on.
