She doubles as their "political reporter" despite her undeniable pro-Republican bias. It's a vestige of Scaife's view that his newspapers mainly existed to convince readers to think the way he does. Zito's analytical skills, from what I've seen, would be challenged by an episode of "The Simpsons." No one on Martindale Street is bright enough to pull the plug on this Charles Kuralt "road" routine she uses for Sundays to avoid any having to do any more than mouth talking points. If you want a real laugh, listen to her sorry podcast, which is titled "Off-Road Politics." Off-World Politics would be more like it!
