I agree that is is an honest, neutral assessment of the situation, including stats on the subsidized (or lack thereof)print product. And the point was made that TTM has other profitable divisions that should keep it alive now that the bleeding has been stopped with Trib print.

There were no BS quotes about how this is being done to better serve the readers. And it admitted that in other markets, readers fled to get their news elsewhere.

And it was a pretty final front page.

An honest evaluation? He's trying to sell that the Trib went down because of rough times in the newspaper business? Puh..leeeeze.

Isn't that just smoke and cover for the fact that the place never made dough, hard times or not, and was only alive as a plaything for the sugar daddy who kept pouring vast sums of dough into the rag, and now that he's gone, his kids want the dough back for themselves because he never shudda spent it. No sugar daddy, no pgh. trib.

Or if I'm wrong about this, please enlighten me. This columnist sounds like just another mouthpiece for denial and misrepresentation (it would be too rude to say he is lying).
