Subject: Trib's mediocre photos displayed badly

A few of these photos are all right, I guess. But most of them are run of the mill. And the page design is awful. There's little context and the it's hard to thumb through them. In other words, they screwed up this lame, blatantly self-congratulatory feature from the getgo.

TTM Management can crow all they like about the new, shrunken, downsized print and online product they offer, not counting UpGruv. Well, it's smaller for sure. But the dedication to doing things poorly that began with Daddy Scaife long ago remains alive and well with the hapless Bertetto Posse.

Miserable much? Lots of media outlets post these year-end galleries of photos. "self-congratulatory?" Not really. I know it's tough for people who don't have to be concerned for the bottom line, but Bertetto's vision is going in the right direction. Frank's bloated newsroom doesn't exist.

They fixed the problem, so the photos are visible, but I agree about the "run of the mill" comment. The days of top work by Justin and Stephanie are long gone. Both were too good for the place. I doubt Jenny B and Luis care much. To them, photos are photos, y' know?

You seem to be forgetting that folks like Steph and Justin are included in that slideshow -- they, and the rest of the photographers that took the buyout, were there for more than half the year.

The Steph and Justin shots stand out. The others don't.

Just view the slideshow and click on the fullscreen button.

If you're still not happy, demand a refund.

Which ones are which -- alright and run of the mill? Hard to judge your assessment when you provided so little detail.

And, as another poster already pointed out, this has been a staple of publications (newspapers, magazines, etc.) for decades. I find it difficult to believe that could be lost on someone visiting and posting on a forum like this.
