Subject: Love the new hard edge Ed Bouchette

Really digging the new no-holds barred in your face hard edge Ed Bouchette on social media. Also refreshing to see he is unafraid to use the PG's Steelers beat reporter Twitter account to quote, retweet and comment to give his opinion on politics. If only others could be so bold. Go get'em Ed.

Just noticing this too and I don't get it. Why all of a sudden start retweeting some really radical political stuff? Maybe he was hacked?

For example this from earlier today
"That press conference on taxes was shameless. It's not about jobs; it's about huge tax cuts for wealthy tycoons like, say, Donald Trump."

Putting "hard edge" and Ed Bouchette in the same sentence makes no sense. Ed may be good as a writer, but on Twitter he is a cranky old man. When he does answer questions, it is typically a one word answer or a very sarcastic answer. What is it with these old PG writers? They are all cut from the same mold.

I love it. Now Dulac retweets extremists dogma thereby entering his name on list of local sports writers that support the dangerous globalist mission to rob you of your sovereign, rights, property and freedom.

Personally, I read the PG sports pages to read sports and to get away, just for awhile, all of the political turmoil. His editors, in the department and Shribman, are making a huge mistake letting Ed use the PG account to join the already crowded arena of political hacks who rant and rave. I know Ed well and don't understand why anyone would be excited over his political views, or anyone else's in the department. They are all ducks out of water when it comes to politics. People, these guys mostly live in a bubble. It's called sports. Tell any of them to meet you at the city the main city police station and I doubt that many, if any, would know where it is without doing a Google search. They have opinions, of course, but they get paid for their sports expertise. And, most of them are experts in their field. But, not politics! It's out of their league.

Ed Bouchette is playing a dangerous game. A number of journalists have gotten into hot water over their ill-advised Tweets. Some have even lost their jobs. Be smart Ed. Stick to what you know best, and it certainly is not politics.

Disgusting. During the post game press conference the Steelers media tried everything they could to drag the Steelers coach and players into the protest mess, even though the coach explained repeatedly his position

This was not about getting facts, it was instead a blatant attempt by Steelers media to incite chaos and hate.

Is the Pittsburgh sports media so trapped inside their bubble they are clueless to what is going on in the real world? Last week Gerry Dulac tweet something like "Pittsburgh is a White Collar town, no longer blue collar town". And all his like minded friends actually praised him!

No one from that inner circle can see how racist that comment is?

What kind of "White" collar jobs do you propose Gerry in this new utopian high-tech Pittsburgh? Google analytics developer? Amazon voice search designer? IBM cloud server engineer? Cool, that's great but there are maybe a thousand of those jobs and they all require a $200K CMU computer science degree.

I just wish he was as "hard edge" in his Steelers coverage, and did some actually journalism instead of just parroting "scoops" he's spoon-fed by the team.
