Directions for IceChat:

Download IceChat (full version) from www.icechat.net

Install IceChat

In the "completing IceChat setup wizard" window check the Start IceChat box.

Advance to "IceChat First Time Setup" window. Enter the nick you want.

In the "Server Name" window use the server name that's there. DO NOT try to type in a server name. Keep advancing until IceChat starts.

Click "server list" at top of window. Select "add server" from dropdown menu. When the "Add New Server" window opens click "Find Server" button. When "Full Server List" window appears find "Chatuniverse" in the list on the right and click it. When it appears on the left side of the window, doubleclick that. Click "Next" button and keep advancing until it asks for the nickname you want.

Enter nickname. Advance until window closes. "irc.chatuniverse.net" should now be listed in your favorite servers window. Just double click it to join CU.

The channel name is "#comicality" (no quotes). You can add it to your favorite channels list by clicking "Favorite Channels" in the left column and clicking the "Add" button. This way you won't have to type in the channel name each time you want to join. Just double click it on the list. If you don't want to add the channel to your favorite channels list, simply type "/join #comicality" (without the quotes) in the box at the bottom (edit box) and press your "enter" key after you've connected to Chatuniverse.
