..and it ain't working. I'm still going to argue that, if the idea of God and the very nature in which god presents itself, in all three major Abrahamic faiths, had been taken out of the equasion altogether, I would have very little to bitch about =)
You say 'god is not making those people do any of those things'. I say : God is exactly who's telling them to do it. Or rather, God's personal envoy on earth, religion. Whichever way you cut it, religion is the culprit here. People do the most horrible things, to themselves and to others, with religion as their primary excuse. Even something as futile as imposing that shops close their doors on Sunday is bad enough. Fasting? Circumcision? homophobia? Surpression of women? Inquisition? Crusades? Witch trials? Expansionism? Xenophobia? I hold your god personally responsible for all these things. And since GOD doesn't exist anyway, religion and that jolly pleasant book you all know and love, are the only notions left to blame.
