I'm not the world's biggest horndog... this isn't to say I don't get horny, or jack off an inordinate number of times a day. But in saying that, I've never been one to chase sex with endless anonymous partners. If someone came along in real life that I could see a relationship developing with, however, I think the only way to approach it is in a reasoned manner.
I have been in a long distance relationship, and always made it clear that if there was a chance of a decent relationship developing in real life to let me know and to pursue it. I'd far rather that the person I love was happy and not with me than with me and in torment, and to be honest, every distance relationship I have had has been torment in some form. I guess that isn't to say that a real life relationship isn't either, but at least there is the physical aspect, which I see as vital to a relationship properly working.
Anyway, personally no I wouldn't have any problem refraining from cheating, however depending on the exact circumstances, I wouldn't feel too hard done by if my partner wanted to end the relationship for something promising in real life.
