first to get a gauge on the rents, small joking comments, or see how they react to certain topics, (i.e. gay marriage, or pride parade) but only if it comes up. if thet react negatively, well it's you're decision to go a head with it despite the hell, or just wait till you're old enough, settled someplace else before telling them.

Of course being a closeted 27 year old (except to 3 people) I'm not the most trustworthy source of sage advice on the subject, but that's what I would do if a.) I wasn't so damn spineless and b.)not still living with my parents (want to but cant) still, try out my advice on seeint how your parents react first then work out a plan later.... AFN, OE
