I wasnt trying to make your post offensive. was trying to tewll you that the information that you were posting was inacurate and wrong. As much as I "give" my blood, the only thing ever asked pertaining to my sex life is if I'm an "active" homosexual. Tests are done after you donate blood, tests are done when you donate an organ. Eliminating guys from having sex with another guy after 1980 is just the most insanely misinformed "fact" that I have ever heard. AIDS and HIV were publically "titled" back then, late 80's to early 90'd, tainted blood was a big news item. Tests are there now, they're the same tests that you get when you want to know if you have it, just 1000 times better.
I wasnt turning your post into something offensive, I was simply stating that before you say something that will fuel an uproar that you actually get the real facts. And I know the real facts enough to tell you that what you posted was wrong (I'm not trying to be a dick, your information is wrong) Were you personally turned away from giving blood?? Because if you were there was another reason other than that you had sex with another guy since 1980.
My blood goes to a mother of three. Do you really think that I would be "allowed" to give that to her every month?
Be rational.
