I, personally, think that there's a lot of different things that go into making that decision. I mean, as far as being 'civil' to one another, I wouldn't have any problems with that. I'm not big on holding grudges.

But, it's like...was it just a mutual break up, or something that didn't work out? Did he break my heart? Did I break his? Did one of us cheat? And even if we agree to say that it's really over...is it?

I'd like to think that under normal circumstances, I could easily be friends with an ex-boyfriend without any big issues. Why not? Not everybody was meant to last forever, you know?

But if we were ever a toxic combination when we were together, then there's no way that I'd trap myself in that corner for the sake of being the nice guy. So I guess it's the circumstances of the break up itself that would answer this question for me.
