Subject: an absolute honest review of yourself...
In reply to: MInt 's message, "How does someone know if he/she is a bi?" on 21:52:26 11/08/07 Thu

well Mint,

when I was 13 I had my first time with a 16 yr old guy I seduced. 3 months later I had another first with a 15 yr old girl. My self discovery was hard because I was very honest about what I wanted as opposed to what was expected. the sex was mind blowingly awkward to be honest, but it did set the stage for the rest of my life. I had to look past that to see what was better; being with a guy or with a girl. I tried for months to convince myself that one was better then the other and that was what I was going to be. When I couldn't decide I was despondant I didn't do anything with anyone or go anywhere because I was absolutely convinced there was something wrong with me. I could understand and accept being gay or being straight, but I couldn't get over the fact that I was both and neither.
I was 15 before I realized the reason I couldn't decide was because there was NO choice to make! so the short answer to your question is this the term 'bi-sexual' is a reference to sex preference, not to 'life-style'. Being Homosexual doesn't mean a person is 'gay', the term 'gay' is a reference to a life style, while the term 'homosexual' is a reference to a sex preference. its the same for Heterosexual, straight is lifestyle, hetero' is sex preference. its the mis-use in american slang that confuses it all up. Bisexual, homosexual, heterosexual are sexual preference whereas gay/lesbian, straight are life styles.
So, how does one know? be honest with yourself, does a person want to have sex with males or females or both? any HONEST answer to those groups will tell a person if they are bi or not. Finally, please take note the above question is about 'SEX' not 'RELATIONSHIP'. Relationships are a whole other Monster discussion.
Please any who read this post, feel free to comment or question by post or by my email :)
