Sometimes, I think about what a natural talent Anton Yelchin was, and I miss him. R.I.P. to a great loss, gone way before his time...
"House Of D"
I always thought this underrated coming of age movie had some real heart to it. Figured I'd share! :)
The movie stars the late Anton Yelchin as a growing boy in the 70's, who lives with his mom and maintains a very close friendship with Robin Williams' character, a grown up with the mentality of a child. The two have shared an amazing bond over the years, but as the boy grows up and 'girls' become a factor in his life...conflicts begin. And what happens from there makes for a heartwarming movie, although a bit sad in some parts. So prepare for that. Not depressing or traumatic...just sad.
Also, major kudos to R&B songstress, Erykah Badu, who was awesome in this movie as well! :)
So, check it out some time, and get some warm fuzzies to make you smile. Enjoy!
