Rick Moranis is coming out of a long term retirement to star in a Honey I shrunk the Kids sequel.
And I am actually on board with this. Unlike a lot of sequels and remakes, in recent years. I do support a new movie.
I think it's because it was always a fun movie for me. Unlike, say, E.T The Extra Terrestrial which was a lot more dramatic and emotional for me.
I also really liked the 'Honey I shrunk' movies, but because they were fun to watch. I wasn't emotionally invested in the characters in the same way.
I just hope they use physical props rather than relying solely on CGI. There's something about physical props that CGI just doesn't quite touch.
I am a also a fan of CGI, but I don't like how they use it lazily when sometimes practical effects just appear better on screen.
