And we've been through SARS, H1N1, Ebola, Zika (sp?) mosquito virus...I even remember the hysteria over HIV when it first became public knowledge waaaay back. But this one is kind of scary.

However, there's no real reason for people to panic the way they have been. That's just ridiculous. Obviously, nobody wants to get sick. But if you catch the virus, it's just like catching a really bad flu. It is not an immediate death sentence. It's not the apocalypse, for crying out loud. They just want to keep people from spreading it and giving it to people who might not have the ability to fight it off. Mostly very young children and people over 70, and anyone with compromised immune systems. So it's a serious situation, but nobody is going to have to stockpile canned food and weapons and worry about defending their houses against scavengers a few weeks from now. Hehehe, some folks need to calm TF down.

I don't know if anybody I know has it, but it's safe to assume that someone does. All of my friends are in Chicago, and you can't avoid interacting with people. It's just not possible. Even if you go out to get tested, or go to buy masks and hand sanitizer...that involves interacting with people. Using cash, having the cashier touch your debit card, putting your hand on the door handle, grabbing the sanitizer off of the shelf...all of that is unavoidable. BUT, nobody panic. Take care of yourselves, stay at home if you're sick, and...worst case scenario...you spend about a week with a nasty flu bug and have to wait until you can go back outside again. So rest easy, folks.

I highly doubt that I was ever infected with the Corona Virus, but I do know that I had one of the worst stomach flu bugs of my whole life at the end of January without any warning whatsoever. (https://www.voy.com/15900/94604.html) I've never had it that bad before, and it sucked. It caught a hold of me in a single day, and within 24 hours I was bedridden. And then, three days later, I was okay again. Now...if you ARE one of the folks in the demographic where this virus can actually be fatal, please PLEASE go in and get medical attention and get yourselves checked out! K? Always better to be safe than sorry.

Take care you guys! And I'll seezya soon!
