I don't get the appeal, but I never have. I can smell a narcissist and an power seeking egomaniac a mile away. And that's all he is.

The trial/s have to be televised. Because if they aren't, every day outside the courtroom, his lawyers and himself will lie with every breath about how the prosecution has nothing and how they were humiliated, with no one there to counter them, because someone like Jack Smith's not going to rebut him in the media. He sees his place, rightfully so, in the courtroom.

And that's where these trials will matter most, Trump's relying on the court of public opinion. And if enough idiots vote for him again, he'll still become president and then he'll spend the following four years getting "revenge" on all those who tried to hold him to account, with full powers of the presidency.

And his attacks on reproductive rights, civil rights and social rights, while he cozies up to dictators and despots. It'll make his first term look like a picnic because he knows he can get away with everything.
