It's tragic what happened to that poor guy. I don't understand it. Not all police are like him, but I can't imagine how frightening it must be to be black and pulled over or approached by a cop and not know what's going to happen. Or happen to someone in your family.
And asians are suffering similar discrimination and harassment at the moment because Covid happened to have originated in China. And whether or not its government is to blame. Somehow all Chinese people are guilty by association. Thus, anyone who is Chinese, or even Korean or Japanese gets insulted and attacked in the street because of what they look like or where they or their parents came from.
I don't understand this flawed and cruel mentality. I am embarrassed to belong to the same species as these wingnuts.
Anyway, I really was moved by this guy's speech. I am only familiar with him because I had seen another video of him endorsing Bernie a while back, but he's a great speaker.
