Now is there any nearby? In our limited understanding of distance I'd say no however that may not be a factor for another planets lifeforms.
Have we been visited? I'd like to believe yes but then there is so much conspiracy theory floating about, plus sightings that have eventually proven through advances in science/knowledge to be something all together more natural, who really knows.
I'm simple take on it is this, be a total waste of infinite space just for 1 planet to have life on it!
