I agree, recent history, while interesting, we already know at least something about.

Although a naughty part of me would love to drive through the Victorian streets with a nice BMW or something, get the locals talking. hehehe.

But I would like to go back at least as far as 5,000 years. That's pre-recorded history.

Ideally, I'd like to go back about 70,000 years and see the first group of humans on their journey outside of Africa, as they explore Europe, meet our Neanderthal cousins for the first time, who evolved in Europe. And then watch our ancestors invent agriculture, which is more recent, but probably changed us more than anything else has, cause out of that we stuck around in the same place long enough to build villages, towns, cities, written records, tame wild horses, invent the wheel, discover electricity, and so on. We'd still be living like isolated tribes today, if we hadn't. I think it's amazing how one little thing can change so much.
