to know oneself takes constant visitation
I seem to stub my thoughts on the pathway of hesitation
internal battles are fought daily to keep my vision clear
body steers my presence to the points of destinations near
im reaching a breaking point like Buddhists monks studying for twenty years
humble thyself, go cut a vast green field with a pair of scissors
once a beginner now a sage decorating the page as a sinner
I know evil exists, I live and breathe it
but I also find the positive aspects that every soul can demonstrate
to live each day as my last and to see the drinking glass full alas
so much darkness in my past, I'm surprised I can still joke and laugh
my self inflicted turns have left this man introverted
only close with some, my mom, dad, girl, and some friends that I�ve herded
time has decided that my life will be divided into two colors
red and black smother the ying yang I lucidly dream about while in a slumber
death wears the belt of fate desires pull me to reach destiny�s gate
I wouldn�t call it suicide, more a realization of what�s on the other side
I love this life although I understand that it is filled with illusions
my birth, my death and emotions are all that I have to hold onto
feelings shine threw writing as I climb to a new peak of positivity
positively placing energy that lights my inner skyline relentlessly
I do believe in God, but why label my own understanding
even without a name of word He would still be the last entity standing
watching, planning, re-directing paths with His eyE scanning
I also believe in the power of word, its benefits elevate absurd
into all directions of the primitive third, dissected then forgotten about now re-birthed
soul cycles, reincarnation, replacing former thoughts with a new mold, lacing
a new life with former understandings, we're all granted this golden ticket
candy coated realities recycled intricate, its so prolific,
so simplistic, it seems to hard to decipher
eons seem like blurs, just try and think where you were before your were born
the cuff?, the space that surrounds our universe?, how did we join this earth
I became an inhabitant august 26, 1981 in south Philadelphia
but I feel the openness of my heart will lead me to find the true area
that I once sat down in a cracked a grin and told myself that ill see me in the next existence
catapulted by society�s resistance, I blasted off and landed in this structured sentence
it has been said many times before, just now it means so much more
open, discover, walk through that door, its time to explore
