Clobberthon update! HMP is relly getting fast! Candyman came down on big tires, and broke the rear end. Turbo Todd Moyer got that thing to 60', 1.17, but had to get out of it. If you put that 60' with the other incrementals from last time out, that's 4.50's. Naisernator, goes 4.66 with bad tire shake, turns around and goes 4.64 next pass! Best Clobberthon ever! GLEN KNOWS HE WON'T GET A 16 CAR FEILD IN NONE OF THE INDEX CLASSES, SO HE WILL CUT THE PURSE IN HALF IF HE IS JUST ONE CAR SHORT IN ANY OF THE INDEXES! HE HAS CUT THE PURSE AT EVER RACE. HE HAS DONE THAT FOR 10 YEARS, JUST ASK ANYONE.

Author:
Masked Marauder
[Edit] Date Posted: 17:04:25 01/18/05 Tue
Glen said that they would have to cut their purse $1400 and have to pay an $50 entry fee. The TPSA rep said fine it will make the guys happy to run there, I'll get the rest of the purse money from another source. But, for Glen to keep that agreement private, Glen said fine. What did Glen do? He called every track he could think of and told them he got them to cut the purse and that they should go ask the same thing. All the while knowing that we had other races scheduled for our regular purse. Glen has made no secret of his disdain for organizations. He also went to a meeting of IHRA track owners in Dallas and tried to persuade all of them to rally against all organizations. (i.e. KOTH, TOPMA,TTT5 etc.) He only succeded in getting two of them, (Kennedale, and Redline) to listen to him. I don't think with much success either. Here is a fine example of someone who is'nt satisfied with a profit and sharing it with those who made it possible for him to get it. He wants to keep you, the racer from having a chance to win some money racing your car. Which by the way is what spectators come to watch is you the RACER. I don't know how any of you feel nut I don't think I want to go to a facility like that. I'll stick to HMP and Angleton

[ Post a Reply to This Message ]

[> [> [> [> [> Subject: How come you guys leave Angleton? Randy paid the TPSA $4000 last year had to pull money out of pocket to cover the purse a few times. So now you goin to go to Sealy and run for $1600 and pay $50 to get in where Randy let you in for free.

Author:
Won't be hard to guess
[Edit] Date Posted: 18:08:51 01/18/05 Tue
Basically Glen is paying you guys $800 to come race at his track, that $1600 includes you guys paying $800 in entry fees for 16 Cars.
You make Randy pay out the ass for a year {$4000 per race}, he don't charge an entry fee,and race with Glen for chump change. Glen would not even be paying you $800 a race if Angleton had not help you get started for a year. It didn't take you guys long to forget Glen wouldn't have you last year.
In the TPSA defense i guess you have to do what you have to do to race. If you got to cut somebodys throat, fuck'em i guess they should have been born without a throat if they didn't want it cut.
You do have to hand it to Glen, he knows there is no loyality among racers. All of you TPSA guys are older men, you should be setting an example for the youth, loyality is a good thing and it is a 2 way street. Ain't you guys jumped for the carrot long eneough? Randy didn't know he was on a one way Highway, yea he is stupid for that. Don't worry he will be another Glen in a few years if he stays in the business.

"I HAVE NOT SEEN A SCHEDULE ANYWHERE" -- ., Friday, November 19, 09:42:54am [1]

Why don't you (whoever you are?) quit trying to start sh#t!

It's real easy to sit behind your keyboard and criticise the guys behind the organizations that do all the work with your no name post.

I haven't seen a schedule "yet" on ANY of the association websites. Last year I don't think any of the organizations had there upcoming schedules posted until late December or early January.

Race schedule next year! -- Tonto, Monday, November 08, 11:27:42am [1]

Congradulation for the Tx cars going down and representing. I really hope all the 10.5 organizations will come together for a huge race in Texas (HMP, AngelTown OR Kennedale) I don't think those out of state guys realized when the Texas Rangers got that same good air they race in every week our times would drop just as fast as theirs, SO WAKE UP AND SMELL WHAT THE LONE STAR STATE IS COOKING "chilli beans on small tires" One thing I have to say about the organizations here in Texas they are all ran fair and eveyone weights after every pass no exception. So please organizations come together and make this happen for the fans and lets start a new rivalry. STATE AGAINST STATE!

Mean & Nasty @ HMP -- HMP, Thursday, September 30, 11:25:08pm [2]

Gotten several calls regarding the Mean & Nasty class at the Houston Hot Rod Happening on October 30-31. This looks like it will be a wild and exciting event. With the no wheelie bar rule, the playing field evens a bit and probably a mid to low 5 second run will take home the $1000.00 and Trophy. This all about getting all that HP down the track.

If you are thinking you don't want to run without wheelie bars just remember...SOMEBODY IS GOING TO GET A $1000.00!! Will it be you?!?

Official press release from Atlanta Dragway .com /ORSCA -- Atlanta Dragway, Thursday, September 23, 01:13:54pm [1]

ATLANTA DRAGWAY NEWS RELEASE

FOR RELEASE: September 22, 2004
FOR MORE INFORMATION, CONTACT: Craig Armstrong (706-423-9265)

OUTLAW 10.5 SHOW TO REPLACE ‘FALL FOOTBRAKE FRENZY’ ON ATLANTA DRAGWAY SCHEDULE

COMMERCE, GA A return of the highly acclaimed Outlaw Racing Street Car Association (ORSCA), featuring super-fast, modified street cars on 10.5-inch slick tires, is slated for Atlanta Dragway on Saturday, October 23rd and Sunday, October 24th.

The weekend was originally planned as a special non-electronics bracket race, but scheduling conflicts with other similar events in the southeast region made switching to the ‘Outlaws’ a better option for track management.

“We might be able to reschedule the ‘Fall Footbrake Frenzy’ next year,” said Craig Armstrong, General Manager at the northeast Georgia dragstrip. “But with conflicting bracket racing events on the calendars at other venues, it just made sense to seek another type of show for that weekend. We are certainly pleased to have the Outlaw 10.5 folks back again after their very successful show here in March.”

In addition to the Outlaw 10.5 cars, the show will offer supercharged, alcohol-burning Outlaw Pro-Modifieds, indexed drag racing with 6.0 and 7.0 second cars, Limited Street cars, and a Top Eliminator Bracket program paying $1,500 to win. According to promoter Johnny Fenn of ORSCA, total awards will exceed $50,000 for the event, which will also feature a Car Show and Vendor Midway.

Gates will open at 8:00 AM on both Saturday, October 23rd and Sunday, October 24th, with drag racing action beginning at 9:00 AM on Saturday and 10:00 AM on Sunday. A two-day spectator pass will be available for $40, and children 12 and under will be admitted free with a paying Adult. Additional information on the event, including entry fees for racers and vendors, is available on the official Outlaw 10.5 website, www.outlawracing.com, or on the track’s website at www.atlantadragway.com.

Thanks -- Tom O., Monday, September 20, 11:07:26pm [3]

I just wanted to thank everyone that came out to the Prescott Outlaws race. All of the racers and their teams showed the fans of Prescott Raceway something they have been looking forward to for a while, a string of .80’s and .70’s. I know it was really hairy for a while but I think/hope it ended on an up note. Don Wooten, I am very sorry about your car. I hope that you get it back at the track soon. Glad that you were alright, that is the most important thing. David it was good to finally meet you in person. Hopefully I will see out at the track again soon. I don’t get up to the Dallas/ Fort Worth area very often but I can say that the few times I have seen the KOTH cars I have been extremely impressed. Both the KOTH and the TORA guys really showed Prescott what it’s all about. Thank you to everyone for making things happen this weekend. See ya at the track!

First time at the Prescott races and I must say we enjoyed it alot! A great show by the Prescott crew working hard to keep things going smooth, and a great show by everyone racing! Texas ruled the day! Sad to say I didnt see any of our Okie boys there, guess they had bigger fish to fry somewhere else..too bad could have been some good races had some of them shown up. I am sure you Texas boys have a race the same weekend but to help spread the word the NEW AND IMPROVED Tulsa Raceway Park is trying to put together a Street Car Shootout on October 16th. Rules and info about the race can be found at www.tulsaracewaypark.com in their message forums. The Okie boys seem to think they cant be beat after a good showing in Springfield this past weekend...
OORA KICKS AZZ IN SPRINGFEILD

Well once again the Oklahoma boys show everyone who is the boss ! Mr gaines killed the dyno , i mean really he pegged it lol. dwayne mills made over 1000 hp, crazy jerry made some big numbers as well as eric gonseth in the bad silver blown stang . Ronnie dale won the burnout contest saturday and jim sams won sunday . Also as a club we won best club award ! We had the car craft guys hang out for an hour or so ( super cool guys) they did alot of pic taking and writing ! So stay tuned to car craft magazine for some good articles i know he was doing a nice interview with a black camaro and its owner so it should be awesome ! pics should soon be posted at www.oora.org
We always kick azz when we go to Springfield. They even had a commercial on local stations about the Oklahoma boys comin down to dominate the Missouri boys.
So any of you fellas that might want a new track to dominate..this could be the place lol...I love stirring things up in new places!
Thanks again for the great show at Prescott!

HMP RACES "CANCELLED" -- MIKE MORGAN, Thursday, August 26, 05:28:49pm [2]

THE HOUSTON MOTORSPORTS PARK RACE (TORA/TPSA) THIS WEEKEND WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE OF THE RECENT CHANGES IN MANAGEMENT AND STAFF, ALONG WITH SOME FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS AT HMP.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AS A NEGATIVE, IT'S NOT! IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT WE STARTED TALKING ABOUT THE CURRENT SCHEDULE, POSSIBLE CHANGES AND SCHEDULING FOR NEXT YEAR. THE DATES WE HAD WERE GIVEN TO US BY PREVIOUS MANAGEMENT.

THIS RACE "WILL BE RESCHEDULED" IN THE NEXT WEEK OR TWO! IN ADDITION TO THIS WE WILL ALSO BE RESCHEDULING THE SEPTEMBER 25TH DATE AS WELL. FURTHERMORE, IN THE FUTURE TORA WILL BE RUNNING ALONE AND TPSA WILL HAVE THERE OWN DATES @ HMP (this is the financial consideration).

FOR THE LONG TERM THESE CHANGES ARE WHATS BEST FOR ALL PARTIES CONCERNED. AFTER OUR MEETING THIS PAST MONDAY WITH THE BAKER BROTHERS/HMP OWNERS WE SEE A LONG TERM FUTURE FOR BOTH ASSOCIATIONS AT THIS TRACK.

I HOPE THIS HELPS CLEAR THINGS UP...........thanks

Everyone, I want to thank Joe from Hans' and Ricks crew for running into Greg Pizzino's car that had burst into flames in the staging lanes on Sat. The flames were huge from a fuel line being left off, and Joe was the first one up to the car trying to get Greg out. God forbid if anything ever happens to anyone else, I hope that he is around. Good Job Joe and it was a pleasure meeting you. Also Thanks to everyone for coming to Lufkin last weekend. Congrats to Hans', Rick and crew on their win. That car ran great. Mr. Morgan was a good man, and he will be missed by all. But, if anyone can fill those shoes, it will be Bud. We all know he does a great job. Our prayers go out to the Morgan Clan. God be with you all in your time of need. TORA's schedule for the next three races is Aug. 28th @ HMP, Sept. 11, @ Angleton, Sept. 25, @ HMP. Hope to see ya'll soon. Matt and TORA
