Author: JAG Junkie (Ronda)--thankful that the "other woman" is just a computer game. LOL
Subject: I should mention that DH tried Vista, hated it so much that he reformatted and went back to XP. He's a total computer nerd and knows all about getting updated drivers, etc., but after several frustrating weeks, decided that he would wait until all the Vista bugs got worked out before he would switch. Vista kept crashing his online games, among other problems. And if DH can't play World of Warcraft, then all the world must stop. LOL
In reply to: JAG Junkie (Ronda) 's message, "Well, if you could figure out what you used before, that would probably help. LOL Look where all your programs are stored (under "All Programs" in XP (not sure if it's the same in Vista) and look for software that sounds like it could be used for photos. Then open that software and look for something like settings, options, preferences, etc. Hopefully, there is an option to make that software be the default for all picture files, or files that end with jpg, bmp, etc." on 13:14:26 11/18/07 Sun

[> [> [> [> Assuming you have an XP disc that hasn't been activated too many times, you would have to reformat your hard drive (which equates to erasing it--hope you have an external HD to save files to) and start over from scratch. You would have to install and set up everything. On the plus side, that would be the perfect time to partition your hard drive, since a lot of computers you buy in the store come with just one gigantic unpartitioned hard drive. Ugh! -- JAG Junkie (Ronda)--depending on how much stuff you have on your computer, it could take days to reformat and start over., 17:03:24 11/18/07 Sun [1]
