Author: JAG Junkie (Ronda)--sorry, I'm afraid I'm not much help.
Subject: I just asked DH, the resident computer nerd in the house, and he said it might work, or it might not work. It depends on how Acer set up the disc. The other issue would be the other software on your laptop. That might not be the same either. I personally have never used a "restore" disc. We've always built our own computers and had our own stand alone versions of all our software. So when we upgrade, we start from scratch installing everything by hand.

[> You will need to wipe your hard-drive first to re-format the harddrive - which will erase Vista. You can absolutely use the restore disk to then put XP on your laptop. Vista is far more demanding than XP anyway, so your laptop should run faster w/o it. -- RD, 23:10:18 12/01/07 Sat [1]
